...(OK FOR INTRO) The late Steve Jobs, founder and former CEO of Apple Inc., once said that we are here to put a dent in the universe - and by 'dent,' he does not refer to a literal one. He talks about making a difference in the world around us, leaving 'a footprint in the sands of our history' as one could call it. It talks about making a difference in the lives of the people you meet or - even more miraculously - possibly those you have not made personal contact with.(THIS IS OK FOR INTRO ) All this is exactly what I want it achieve; it is my aspiration. Even as a child, the burden of leaving a positive legacy has been engraved in my heart. The subtle want to be able to serve those in need was natural. Who knows what life is to bring on my journey, what obstructions will come my way. Ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law and I would have never thought twice about the rights of a pregnant woman and hiring practices. Not only are businesses now aware of the rights of pregnant women, hiring practices and federal laws but are also being held accountable by the EEOC. It is not always about profitability it is about our civil rights as people and employees and seeing an example made of a giant corporation like Chick Fil A is a bell that is ringing loud for businesses across America. Businesses cannot do whatever they want legally and will be held accountable for their actions by the EEOC. A comparison of the EEOC press release to the news item. What accounts for the differences? ...early twentieth century, America is at one of its highest points in history going into the twentieth century; it has so many resources and space still to provide for people. When the word had gotten out about America and what it had to provide, a vast amount of immigrants started pouring in, in search of a better life and better fortune. The industries of Eastern United States keenly employed these immigrants because they were willing to work long hours for low wages, and the rich capitalists took advantage of this situation. Capitalists and the incoming immigrants never saw eye to eye, and strikes would break out often, some ending in violence or death. Most workers had no political freedom nor even have a voice in the company that employed them because of the industrial system that curtailed their rights. The life of a nineteenth century American industrial worker was far from easy, even during what seem to be good times, wages were low, hours long and work conditions dangerous. The general issue that raised between the two, what has for many years before is that, little of the wealth being made is being distributed to the working class. This situation was worse for women and children who took up more of the work force than men, and still made half of what men usually would make. Work conditions were often tedious because workers would do tasks over and over while working an average 10 hour days, six days a week. Since there was a lack of government regulation, it led to......

...and curiously wandered around the village of the natives. Along the way, he saw a group of people, who incidentally were eating a certain kind of soft fruit. This particular Spaniard, being stranger to the place, approached them and asked the name of the place, but because of language differences, the natives thought, he was asking the name of the fruit they were eating, immediately, they replied “Iba…Iba…Iba…” from then on, this small pueblo was named Iba. The early formation of Iba was attributed to the Zambals, an ethnic group who belonged to the Malay race. They originated from the Celebes. They pushed the dwarfish, kinky haired Negritoes or Aetas eastward to the hinterlands. These Zambals eventually established their settlements on what is now the Municipality of Iba. Through the course of time, other ethnic groups like the Tagalog and Ilocanos migrated, occupied and formed their settlements on the southern portion of the province. They later on inter-married with the Zambals and became the ancestors of these present generation. At various points in history, the capital of the province shifted from each of the three towns earlier established by the Spanish colonizers, namely, Masinloc, Sta. Cruz and Iba, but because of Iba’s strategic location, it finally became the permanent seat of the provincial government. Several history milestones had swept over the Municipality during the early days. One of which was during the declaration of the establishment of the Zambales......

...minutes I used to be a hothead. Whenever anyone said anything, I’d think of a way to disagree. I’d push back hard if something didn’t fit my world-view. It’s like I had to be first with an opinion — as if being first meant something. But what it really meant was that I wasn’t thinking hard enough about the problem. The faster you react, the less you think. Not always, but often. It’s easy to talk about knee jerk reactions as if they are things that only other people have. You have them too. If your neighbor isn’t immune, neither are you. This came to a head back in 2007. I was speaking at the Business Innovation Factory conference in Providence, RI. So was Richard Saul Wurman. After my talk Richard came up to introduce himself and compliment my talk. That was very generous of him. He certainly didn’t have to do that. And what did I do? I pushed back at him about the talk he gave. While he was making his points on stage, I was taking an inventory of the things I didn’t agree with. And when presented with an opportunity to speak with him, I quickly pushed back at some of his ideas. I must have seemed like such an asshole. His response changed my life. It was a simple thing. He said “Man, give it five minutes.” I asked him what he meant by that? He said, it’s fine to disagree, it’s fine to push back, it’s great to have strong opinions and beliefs, but give my ideas some time to set in before you’re sure you want to argue against them. “Five......

...low relative attitude with high repeat purchase may indicates spurious loyalty. But loyalty is interpreted as true loyalty rather than repeat purchasing behavior, which is the actual re-buying of brand, regardless of commitment (Bloemer & Kasper, 1995). According to the work of Kim et al. (2007), brand loyalty is a deeply held commitment to re-buy or re-patronize a preferred product/service consistently in the future, thereby causing repetitive same-brand or same brand set purchasing, despite situational influences and marketing efforts having the potential to cause switching behavior (Kim et al., 2007, 76). Weinstein (2012), on the other hand, states that customers often choose to patronize certain businesses because who they are and what they stand for. In this research, loyalty is to service provider and is therefore service loyalty, brand loyalty on the other and has been developed in relation to goods which encompasses the primary driving factors to customers patronage for certain stores.
