Executive Summary A major manufacturing company, found it imperative to institute a consistent and formal customer management system. A major concern when implementing a new system is change resistance. The A team consultants have identified a change management plan, including an effective communication plan, defining objectives for a smooth transition to the new customer management system. The problem is how to assist employees through this change with the objective to have minimal change anxiety for the employees’ so that a seamless transition to the new customer management system can occur. This can be accomplished through: * Management’s commitment to the employee success * Ensuring the right structures are in place * Building policies and procedures with employee input * Robust education on the system as well as the employees understanding of the need to stay competitive in a fast-changing environment * Clear, concise, and timely communication with the employees- using combined methods (face-to-face, e-mail and direct mailing to homes) By implementing this plan the employees will adapt to the new system with little resistance ensuring a positive outcome for the organization, employees, and customers.

Bonus and taxes. A company has an income of $100,000 before paying taxes and a bonus. The bonus B is to be 20% of the income after deducting income taxes T but before deducting the bonus. So B = 0.20(100,000 - T). Because the bonus is a deductible expense, the amount of income tax T at a 40% rate is 40% of the income after deducting the bonus. So T = 0.40(100,000 - B). a) Use the accompanying graph to estimate the values of T and B that satisfy both equations. (35, 15) b) Solve the system algebraically to find the bonus and the amount of tax. B = .2(100,000-.4(100000 – B)) B = .2(100000 – 40000 + .4B) B = 20000 – 8000 + .08B .92B = 12000 B = $13042.48 T = .4(100000 – 13042.48) T = .4(86957.52) T = $34783 106. Free market. ...NetW208 - Week 1 You Decide Transcript Congratulations, you have recently been promoted to coordinate the design and installation of a new network at your company's satellite offices in Cleveland. The manager at this location (Kim) is a “hands on” type of person, but possesses little technical knowledge of data communications. Kim has requested that you keep her updated along each step in the networks design and configuration process. She has also requested that you explain each of the available options, along with the advantages and disadvantages of each decision that you have made. Your Role/Assignment After reviewing chapter 7, provide Kim with a 2 page detailed report of how you plan to start this project, and a complete explanation of the options available to assign IP addresses. While Kim is marketing genius, keep in mind that she is not a tech savvy person. Be sure to explain this very clearly so Kim is not frustrated and lost during the first phase of this project. Ken Rogers, Corporate Manager, Pittsburgh, PA office. Ken has control over the new Cleveland branch office on a corporate level. Even though Kim is the branch manager of the Pittsburgh office, she has to get final approval on all designs (especially in the area of technology); and purchases from Ken . ...think using a simple ratio equation would work here, let b = bear population = cross multiply 2b = 50*100 2b=5000 divide 2 by 5000 5000 =b 2 b=2500 answer Problem 2 For the second problem in this assignment I am asked to solve this equation for y. The first thing I notice is that it is a single fraction (ratio) on both sides of the equal sign so basically it is a proportion which can be solved by cross multiplying the extremes and means. y-1 = -3 this problem is a proportion x+3 4 y-1 (x+3 = -3 (x+3) multiply both sides by x+3 – using the extreme means x+3 4 property y-1= -3x+3 add 1 to 3. A number that appears to be a solution but causes 4 0 in a denominator is called an extraneous solutions y=-3x+4 4 answer The form of equation I ended up with in problem 10 would be a linear equation. I noticed that the coefficient of x is different than the original problem is that x+3 and in my problem it is -3x/4. I could solve the problem by cross multiply at the beginning of the problem. ...Solving Proportions Assignment Solving Proportions There are many examples of algebra and Math that are more than just ambiguous elusive concepts. Many Math and Algebraic functions are used by a wide array of people in many different industries. Math is used to do more than write computer codes and by financial professionals. Math is used by many others for a lot of practical applications and purposes. It can even be used by conservationist as we will see in a sample problem we are given to work on the observation of a bear population. Problem # 56 on page 437(Dugopolski, 2012) is the observance of a population of 50 bears captured on the Keweenaw Peninsula tagged released back into the wild. One later a random sample of 100 bears yielded only two that had been tagged. In this example a proportion will be used to estimate the size of the bear population. The original bear population will be examined against the later observed population to make this determination. The ration for the original tagged population against the entire population is 50/x The ratio of bears recaptured tagged bears against entire sample 2/100 50 = 2 This is the proportion that will be used to solve the problem by solving for x X 100 Cross multiplying will be used to yield a solution. The extremes of our proportion are 50 and 100 and the means are 2 and x. 50 (100) = 2x 5000 = 2x Both sides are divided by 2 2 2 2 is canceled out on the......

...Math plays a very large portion in the lives of every person on the planet. It is used from everyday basic tasks such as shopping for groceries or determining how much of an ingredient should be applied to a dish to determining how much fuel is needed for a spaceship to launch or the appropriate amount of each of the chemicals used to make life saving medications. Number systems, binary logic and random numbers are three reasons why I would need math for my major in network system administration. I would need math to understand number systems. All data that is passed through computer networks travel as binary numbers that are represented by strings of 1’s and 0’s. 1’s distinguish that an impulse is turned on while 0’s distinguish that is turned off. It relates to math because I would need to base 2, 10 and 16 to understand binary code. To understand binary logic I would also need math. A logic operation processes binary digits in a way similar to arithmetic but are expressed as AND, OR and NOT. It allows the internet and smaller networks to manage network addresses and allow communication between computers because they are aware of each other’s addresses. I will also use math for the random numbers associated with network system administrations. The Internet relies on a complex signalling system called TCP/IP which allows the passing of information between computers and ensures that data arrives at its destination complete and correct. Math comes in to play because......

...AMANDA BALL WEEK 3 Islam vs Hinduism While religious denominations tend to share many things in common, the difference between Islam and Hinduism starts with their respective origins, and goes all the way through to beliefs and practices. In the desert of Arabia, there were kinds of people who were ready to revolt against the traditional religious beliefs of the time. Once the prophet Muhammad received his divine revelations, Islam was formed, developed, and taught. Hinduism began as more of what could be called a ‘coming together’ of various belief systems. At the time, the subcontinent of India was a destination of many wanderers, the exiled, the seekers, and of course, the prophetic. There are much greater ties to Jewish and Christian beliefs in Hinduism, than can be found in Islam. One can find many vast differences in the founding principles of each denomination. Islam is formed from a sense of activism, a need to rush out and find the world, teach those in the world of Islamic faith and tradition, and embrace the humanity in which it resides. Hinduism is based on principles of patient listening, tolerance for those who are different in faith, and the strong belief that, in given time, there will be an awakening of the people. This awakening will bring the people to Hinduism. Religious denominations have been historically named to define either their location of origin, or......

...Week 3 Individual Assignment Phoenix University RES/351 22 March 2016 The choice of a research design is often dictated with the nature of the problem being explored. In addition, the amount of knowledge already available in a certain field also dictates the research design. This is because qualitative research can be used to gather primary knowledge before carrying on quantitative research which is used to explore more specific and complex problems. It is safe to say that qualitative information can help to formulate a hypothesis to be tested in quantitative research. In any business, qualitative research is mostly used to study human behavior and consumer trends. In this particular case, the researchers were attempting to determine the differences in buying behavior between customers of vehicles in China, Japan, and Western countries. The methods used to gather information were interviews and questionnaires that featured many open-ended questions. The information gathered through these means was such that it was almost impossible to express it in numerical form. The hypothesis formulated by the researchers was whether culture plays a role in the buying decision when looking for a car. The analysis of the information gathered entailed looking at a response and recording a yes or no response. The conclusion was drawn after aggregating the responses from each country. The researchers found that culture plays an......
