French Broom (Genista Monspessulana) Technical Report

...French Broom (Genista Monspessulana) Technical Report Genista Monspessulana, commonly known as French Broom, is a Class A weed located on the western coast of the United States. Its appearance is that of a large shrub with yellow, pea-like flowers and small oval leaves in groups of three. It is commonly under 3 meters tall. Its stems are erect, dense, and green or brown densely covered with silky, silvery hairs (U.S.F.S. 2014). It is typically leafy with leaflets ranging from 10mm to 20 mm long and petioles about 5 mm long(U.S.F.S. 2014). There are normally 4 to 10 pea-like flowers about 5mm to 7 mm long on axillary pedicels 1mm to 3 mm long (U.S.F.S. 2014). The fruit is a legume ranging from 15mm to 25 mm long and 5 mm wide with 3 to 8 seeds per pod (U.S.F.S. 2014). French broom seeds are round and generally have elaiosomes attached to them. French Broom is an angiosperm and its flower has four main parts, the sepals, the petals, the stamen or male part, and the pistil or female part (Reece et al. 2014). In order for fertilization to occur insects or other animals must transport the pollen from the stamen to the pistil (Lambers 2014). An angiosperm ovule, located in the pistil, contains an egg cell and a diploid fusion nucleus, when pollen comes into contact with the top of the pistil it sends it down into the ovary at the pistil's base (Lambers 2014). As the pollen penetrates the ovule, it releases two sperm cells, one fuses with the egg to create a diploid zygote,......

Technical Report

...RECOMMENDATION It is my pleasure to have finished my student’s industrial work experience scheme (SIWES) program in a place where I immensely contributed, gained and achieved to and from the company respectively. Though it was pretty cool all the way, but there were a lot of hardships and strenuous activities. All these accrue as a result of poor attitude to work, lack of adequate facilities, poor maintenance, poor management practices, inadequate technical know-how, etc. I will recommend most especially to the company that industrial and managerial activities can be carried out in a more advanced way. I would like to advice at this juncture, that the quotations which they submit to clients or customers should carry along with it the sketch of the work or project. Of course, the sketch of the plan of the building or structure has to be in a more presentable i.e. auto-cad or solid works. Also the company should try and purchase a medium sized truck which she can use in conveying not too bulky goods. The company should also be ready to embrace newer ideas that will move her to the next level. To I.T.F as a body, I would like to attest to the face that the initiation of this exercise is a wonderful one. I don’t think that without this exercise or program, students would really appreciate the time and study they exhaust themselves with in school. I in particular really enjoy the whole exercise because it has really boosted my ego and has proved that the school I attended is......

Technical Paper and Seminar Report

...Seminar Report Security Issues in MANETs Abhishek Seth 04329001 November12 ,2004 Abstract problems of secuirity in MANETs. Further sections deals with some of the solutions to these problems. Finally Section 10 concludes this article. Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) has become an exciting and important technology in recent years because of the rapid proliferation of wireless devices. A mobile adhoc network consists of mobile nodes that can move freely in an open environment. Communicating nodes in a Mobile Adhoc Network usually seek the help of other intermediate nodes to establish communication channels. In such an environment, malicious intermediate nodes can be a threat to the security of conversation between mobile nodes. The security experience from the Wired Network world is of little use in Wireless Mobile Ad hoc networks, due to some basic differences between the two Networks. Therefore, some novel solutions are required to make Mobile Adhoc Network secure. 1 2 2.1 Mobile Adhoc Networks Introduction Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET) is a collection of independent mobile nodes that can communicate to each other via radio waves. The mobile nodes that are in radio range of each other can directly communicate, whereas others needs the aid of intermediate nodes to route their packets. These networks are fully distributed, and can work at any place without the help of any infrastructure. This property makes these networks highly flexible and...
