Spongebob is a fictional character who has a personality that entertains and makes us laugh at life. Although he’s not real he has a complete personality and history- and he’s more famous than most real people. he was created in 1999, 15 years ago, but “according to Spongebobs drivers license, he was born in 1986. And he is now 28. He is pretty much popular in all age groups, because he brings out the inner child in them.

Hobbies, jobs, and interests are Jellyfishing at Jellyfish Fields, jellyfishing consists of catching jellyfish with a net particularly at jellyfish fields. Music, i'm not sure exactly what kind of music he likes to listen to but i'm pretty sure he enjoys listening to techno music. Blowing bubbles, he is an artist when it comes to bubble blowing. Krabby Patty flipping at the Krusty Krab, Spongebob works at a popular seafood restaurant called the Krusty Krab owned by Eugene H. Krabs and its competitor is call the Chum Bucket (it isn't much competition seeing he rarely gets any customers) owned by Sheldon J. Plankton. Hanging out at Goo Lagoon, he loves to hang with larry the lobster aka the life guard.

Sandboarding, with Sandy cheeks their land friend that lives in an air dome. Karate training, also with Sandy. Spending time with his friends, Patrick,Sandy,Squidward,Gary, and Mr. Krabs. Annoying Squidward just for fun with Patrick.

He has a pet snail named Gary and he thinks he is a cat. His best friend is Patrick Star he is dumber than a rock but and is also his next door neighbor. Squidward Tentacles is another one of Spongebobs neighbors but is not necessarily a “fan” of Spongebob and Patrick. And Sandy cheeks is a squirrel that is from Texas but moved under the sea in an air dome.

In conclusion SpongeBob SquarePants was a great show with an animated sponge suitable for all ages.…...

Sociology - Gender

...normal, natural, right and good for its male and female members. Regardless of what view you take gender as, it ultimately leads to relations in the male and female category. One major subject of gender is gender roles, which basically means how males and females should speak, think, dress and act within the context of society and can be linked to gender stereotyping (also a topic of discussion). It is apparent in most if not all cultures, but the “role” itself varies from one culture to another. A major gateway for this is through the media. In the United States, children’s cartoons are a prime example. Of the plethora of cartoons available for discussion, four highly popular ones, current and old, will take priority: Dora the Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants, Rugrats, and the Scooby Doo series. First to be discussed is the extremely popular, Dora the Explorer. The show can be considered a global phenomenon being dubbed in over twenty different languages, so it has a large fan base amongst the varying cultures around the world. Now, on to the topic of gender in regards to the show, the show itself is not necessarily targeted solely towards young females/girls. In fact, the show is highly popular amongst young males/boys as well. This is mainly due to the fact that Dora isn’t your typical “girl” in the sense of gender roles, which she is more or less considered a tomboy. Dora wears a t-shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes and carries a backpack; she also has short hair. Also, the......

Ask yourself, “What are you trying to record or measure?” This is the “THEN” in the if-then statement 4) Control Group – This is the group that we use to compare our experimental group with. It is the group we DO NOTHING TO. We might use a placebo (fake drug, substance, or material) as the control group. 5) Experimental Group – This is the group that we do the experiment on. EXAMPLE: Spongebob Squarepants decided that he wanted to make Bikini-Bottom beautiful with new plants. He felt that if he gave these plants fertilizer, they would grow nice and tall. For Group A, Spongebob gave the plants Supergro Fertilizer. However, He did not give Group B any fertilizer. At the end of the month, Spongebob noticed that the plants given Supergro Fertilizer grew an extra 20 cm. Hypothesis: “If I give plants fertilizer, then they will increase in growth.” Independent Variable: Amount of fertilizer Dependent Variable: plant growth Control Group: Group with NO Fertilizer (Group B) Experimental Group: Group GIVEN fertilizer (Group A) Conclusion: Spongebob was correct. Gender Role

...that compared to SpongeBob, it is completely different. The men were dumb, and the women were more intelligent. The men had domestic jobs, (cook, cashier) and SpongeBob was very nurturing. This seemed to match up with what the article says. They found that female cartoon characters of the 1990s were more assertive, intelligent, independent and more likely to show leadership qualities than cartoons in the 70s and 80s. I completely agree, I remember watching shows like little bill when I was younger the mother had a domestic job as a stay at home mom, and the dad worked. Now in shows like “Phineas and Ferb” their mother has a job, she is an entrepreneur, and in a band. That seems to correspond with that the article says. In my research I found that SpongeBob was the show that had the most non-traditional patterns. SpongeBob was very passive, he entertains, he nurtures people and he is emotional. Patrick has no job, not very intelligent, and has quite a few emotions. Sandy is very smart, does many things like karate, and is calm. This is not what the article says how men and women are. The show Dragon tales was a little bit more traditional, Emmie being an exception. She was smart, helpful, calm and a caretaker. Max was rational and helpful, not much emotion. The women aren’t usually calm, and helpful according to the article. I believe that the PBS shoes were more traditional in the sense that this is a learning channel. Children learn from those shows. SpongeBob and the Fairly......

...priced at less than a dollar already. Stores sometimes put a limit on merchandise that is on sale. This does not mean it is a hot item and buying the limit is necessary. But that is what they want the customer to believe. Just buy what is needed. If 5 lb bags of potatoes are on sale for .99 limit 3, the customer will buy 3 just because they are “on sale”. The more expensive items are almost always located at eye level on the shelves. Look at the cereal aisle, for example. A four year old is in the grocery cart as her mom strolls down the cereal aisle. At her eye level she can see all the cereal with the cartoon characters, like the 18 ounce box of SpongeBob Cereal priced at a little over $4.00. On the shelf below, Cheerios 18 ounce box were priced at $3.50. But her mom will have to pay that extra 50 cent or more because SpongeBob is on the box and that is what caught her child’s eye. There is also grown up eye level as well. The more expensive items and name brands are put at that level. Mom also needed cereal and wanted to get something healthy. All the different flavors of Honey Bunches of Oats were right there in her eye sight. Cheerios were on the bottom shelf, priced much lower. Stop by that sample station and try those new frozen eggrolls! Good right! How about those turkey meatballs? They are located in the frozen section. Go right ahead and pick up a box or two! Wal-Mart always has many sample stations for new products. This gets the customers to buy things they......

Colgate Customer Demographics

... Demographic segmentation is the splitting up of the market in to smaller portions or groups according to age, income, gender, occupation, education, religion and social class. Colgate’s target group for toothpaste is very broad. That’s because most of the people need their product. They segmentate mostly on age differences. They have products for Older people adults and younger people. The group of younger people they divide in the categories 0-2, 2-5, 5-8 and 8-12, these groups they also divide in groups of different genders. For example for the group of 2-5 they make toothbrushes and toothpaste with characters of popular tv programs. For the girls a character like Dora the explorer or Barbie and for the boys an action figure or spongebob. And for the group of 8-12 year olds they make toothpaste to help them get use to the adult toothpaste they are going to use in a couple of years. Also they want to make sure that they remain customers of the company and get so used to Colgate that they will use the toothpaste for the rest of their life. For the adults the big differences in the products are not really based on age differences but on dental problems like yellow teeth or sensitive teeth. The most people who use Colgate are in the same social class or at the same income level. Because Colgate is more expensive then most regular toothpastes people who use Colgate probably have more to spend....

Advertisments Affect

...making their child over weight. Furthermore, advertisements do not force children to eat all the fatty food, It is, in fact, the parents who are allowing the fatty food to be in the house and they are in charge of telling their children what to eat and what not eat to be healthy and fit. In addition, Blaming the advertising for making children fat does not make sense, because children are not in charge of home grocery and ads does not say you must buy the product and feed it to your child. However, when advertising shows up on a cartoon channel, it makes the child to use his brain. For instance a child watching an ad on a new pen that it lights and in the ad they use a famous carton character like SpongeBob Square Pants, they child will start asking questions like, is it real that SpongeBob can write?, can we write under water?. Questions like that are very smart and it proves that the child is thinking of what he watch on Television, which is a good thing, because it helps to develop the child way of thinking. A blog writer illustrated “Helping kids understand how advertising works can help protect them from being exploited.” (Knoor, 2010, para.3) when parents answer their child questions they help the child to understand the concept of advertising and how not to get fooled by the ads. The positive affect that children get when they watch ads is that they use their brains and they challenge themselves by wondering of what is that product is about, is this ad true, and is it......

My Life Story

...When I look at pictures of myself as a young child, I remember when life was simple, and all that mattered to me was watching the Rugrats or Spongebob. As a baby, many people would say I looked Like Tommy Pickles. As I grew a bit older, I began to change, not only physically, but mentally and ethically. I began to learn my how things progressed and learned about the many new rules of life. An important one at the time was washing your hands every time you use the bathroom and brush your teeth each night before you go to bed. I also had many priorities at my age in that point of my life. A very important one was watching the newest episode of Pokemon each Saturday morning or beating that next level in any game on my Game Boy. But now as I see myself growing older, my priorities have shifted in a different direction. I now have to constantly update my status on the social networking site known as Facebook or check my Iphone for that text message from my closest friends. Time progressed and as I grew, I began to think about my past, present, and future. I remember my childhood, and live my life in the present, always moving forward. But thinking about my future is something that was a bit challenging to me. I began to ask my self many questions like “What’s going to happen in a few years? Where will I be? What will I be doing?”. As time went on, would look in the mirror, and I’d ask my self who I see. I see the person I am now. I see the 17 year old young man, who is preparing......

When she saw her, she instantly called her Pumpkin, and Destinee has been her Pumpkin ever since. She even has her aunts and uncles calling her Pumpkin also. Even though she has all these wonderful things going for her, she does get out of line sometimes, less than more, which I love about her. I don’t have to fuss and scold her like most parents have to do with their kids. Destinee loves doing hair, and she does an outstanding job. She’s good with her hands, she’s very creative, and loves to bake also, things like brownies, cookies, Rice Krispy treats, etc. She loves to decorate, and loves her some SpongeBob. Destinee is very neat, keeps her room clean, makes her bed, cleans up behind herself, etc. I make it my duty to let her know that I love her everyday. Something that wasn’t expressed a lot when I was growing up. We have a very close relationship, and I want it to stay that way forever. ...arrangement Covile found convenient was the hanging of bedsheets between the bunkbed and the computer desks; this allowed for privacy for when someone had the urge to release their hormonal needs. Thankfully the bunkbed Booty had found came with some bedsheets of Spongebob and the 101 Dalmatians so there was no need to scrounge up any makeshift dividers. A growing squeaking sound came from beyond the curtain where Booty was supposedly fast asleep as Covile removed his headphones. He could barely make out the sound of Booty’s vigorous act of self-love making over the squeaking the bunkbed made. There was an unspoken taboo of wearing headphones whenever possible since the apartment was a small 420 square feet but no amount of Grime music could drown out the noise. Covile couldn’t help but imagine the squeaking as a cry of non-consent from the bunkbed being constantly abused. Normally Covile would have put his headphones back on and turned up Bugzy Malone’s Pain but he felt the oddest sense of curiosity. The bunkbed was moving too much for Booty to be on the bottom where he belonged… Covile ripped the bedsheets apart to see Booty’s face light up with shame as he was caught in the top bunk underneath a blanket of Spongebob and Patrick Star holding hands in a field of jellyfish, underneath his blanket. “What the fuck are you doing mate?!” Covile screamed at Booty as he jumped out of his chair and almost hit the bed’s frame with his forehead. “Suh dude, I’m almost......

Made me laugh. Then it made me think. If Spongbob were a human being, this world would be a better place. Seriously. Here are four lessons Spongebob can teach us to get more joy from life : BE THE ETERNAL OPTIMIST : The guy ( or sponge, i should say ) always sees the best in any situation. Your thinking really does shape your reality. And because Spongebob looks for the best, he finds it. VALUE PEOPLE : Spongebob knows what friendship mean. He loves his pals in Bikini Bottom, even Squidword, "who is always cranky," to borrow my son's words. Spongebob knows that respect and putting people first are two of the most important elements for strong relationships. BE AN ORIGINAL : Spongebob is one of a kind. ...of violence that they see on Cartoon Network is to violent and not educational or just plain fun entertainment like I use to watch. Morning programming is about 20 to 25 violent acts per hour. Are we just looking for ratings or popularity? At this rate, the average American child will see 8,000 murders before they finish elementary school! This has to stop our children will have no child hood not an innocent one. As a child sits in front of Television, with his or her eyes glued to the TV and not making a sound in being so in to a channel you have not selected, you may want to sit down and actually view what they watching. One day I sat with my children and let them navigate the channels and of course SpongeBob came on. At first it was ok then Patrick and SpongeBob began to curse but using words that grownups may use so children don’t know they are cursing, and my children began to laugh as if they knew what they were saying. I immediately got upset and changed the channel and banned it form in my house hold. We have to remember that the entertainment media plays an extremely powerful role in the formation of values and morals, to all youngsters' minds of all ages. These programs "play" with kids' minds; these programs have a tremendous negative effect on our children. We, as a society, must save about our children’s future and take a parenting role in protecting our children from the violence on our television. Television cartoons often feature dehumanized......
