Foreword
This paper on tripartism and social dialogue in Singapore is intended to highlight
Singapore‟s industrial relations system in general and, in particular, the extent to which industrial relations actors, social institutions and legislation are aligned through social and labour policies to create a sustainable climate of industrial peace and harmony that helps maintain the City State‟s global competitiveness.
This analysis of Singapore‟s success story is part of a comparative study of national systems of tripartism and social dialogue, intended to cull good practices that may be adapted and adopted in other countries of the region.
