Child Labor

...begin to address the problems associated with child labor. In this essay I will try and show some of the main causes of child labor. One of the root causes of child labor is poverty. (Yasin, Qasim, Ahmad Faiz 2011) Parents of many children in developing countries are extremely poor and unable to support themselves with the basic necessities, they therefore send their children to hazardous jobs. Although they know it is wrong, they have no other alternative, as they need the money. i.e. children are compelled by economic necessity to enter the labor force. It is a common phenomenon in third world countries to deliberately have more children, as they will serve as a source of income for the family. Secondly the lack of education/schooling problems also contributes to child labor, whether it is the inaccessibility of schools or the lack of quality education, which spurs parents to enter their children in more profitable pursuits. The fact that most of the parents in developing countries are illiterate, they do not realize the need for a proper physical, emotional and cognitive development of a child. As they are uneducated, they do not realize the importance of education for their children. Unemployment of elders is also of the factor that contributes to child labor (Yasin, Qasim, Ahmad Faiz 2011) Often, elders find it difficult to get jobs. The industrialists and factory owners find it profitable to employ children since they can pay less and extract more work.......

It is very important to take Stakeholders as first consideration in the implantation of BSC, where the organization must first of all understand the company value drivers and its mission, which means, the valuable approaches that will make the stakeholders convinced with the company future profit. Once these approaches are determined, the company will be able to use measurements that will translate the stakeholder’s objectives. Best Regards Qasim References: Kaplan, R. S. and Norton, D. P. ...at this time large parts of Bengal, under the zamindars known as "Baro Bhuyans". Islam Khan, with his gunpowder, horses, and navy, overcame all these zamindars and also defeated Shatrudaman of Kachhar. In 1612, he moved the capital to Dhaka and called it Jahangirnagar. He then captured Kamrup which was then under Pariksit Narayan, an offshoot of the dynasty ruling Coochbehar which also came under Mughal rule. This was the beginning of true Mughal rule in Bengal, a fundamental change in the economic, religious, social, and political structure of Bengal: it was now one of twelve imperial provinces. Sufis brought a pan-Indian religious outlook to the religion of the masses around the same time. * The next subedar was Islam Khan's brother Qasim Khan (1614–17). He again saw revolts from different parts. * The next subedar Ibrahim Khan Fatehjang (1617–24) reconquered parts of Bengal, but he was defeated by Prince khurram (Shahabu-ud-din, later Shah Jahan), who had revolted against his father Jahangir. * In April 1624, Khurram started ruling independently over Bengal and Orissa and soon over Bihar and Oudh as well. He was defeated in October 1624, but when Jahangir died in 1627, after a confused period under Dawar Bakhsh (1627–28), he started ruling over the Mughal empire as Shahabu-ud-Din Shah Jahan Khusraw (1628–deposed in 1657). He defeated the Portuguese and recovered Hughli in 1632, and fought with Ahom. His son, Murad Baksh (1657) was defeated by subedar Shuja.......

Buzkashi in Afghanistan

...“Tooi-Bashi” means the one who have all the responsibilities of the wedding from begin to the end. These Tooi-Bashies are usually in the Khans kin weddings. In recent years the Buzkashi games are not held in such Tooies. They are now held like festivals and tournaments. The Buzkashi games usually appear in winter. The horses that are used in Buzkashi are very expensive so poor people cannot afford such kinds of games. However, the Chapandazan are not rich as the horse’s owners. In Kabul and northern region there are many rich people who have these Buzkashi horses such as Marshal Mohammad Qasim Faim, the vice president of Afghanistan, General Dustom in Jozjan province, Ata Mohammad Noor, governor of Balkh province, Hajji Barat one of the richest people in Mazar-e-Sharif, Abdul Latif Ebrahimi the first person of parliament and many more. In winters when these rich people are free, they hold Buzkashi games. Qasim Fahim the vice president of Afghanistan has a ground in north of Kabul. He usually celebrates Buzkashi on Thursdays. My house is located near this ground and I usually go to these games. Once I have been there, it was a snowy and cold day. There were more than twenty chapandazan in the ground. A scarified calf was on the ground too. It was almost 11:00. All people were waited to start the game but Mr.Qasim Fahim was not reached yet. He came to Buzkashi ground almost 12:30 and he went to the specific place where there were some other rich people who had horses and......

Pak China Economic Corridor - Analysis

...regional hub east of the Persian Gulf. Background: As early as 1954 the United States Geological Survey (USGS) conducted a survey of Pakistan’s coastline thereby identified Gwadar a suitable site for a seaport. Notwithstanding, Oman had exercised legal and actual suzerainty over the port of Gwadar, which until September 1958, was an alien enclave in Pakistan on the Makran Coast over 200 years. Islamabad purchased this enclave from Sultanate of Oman for $3 million and it officially became a part of the Pakistan territory. In 1964 the Pakistani Government decided to transform this small and undeveloped fishing village of only a few thousand inhabitants into a deep sea port. Successive governments had drawn up plans for developing Port Bin Qasim (BQ) in Sindh and Gwadar in Baluchistan as alternate ports because of the need to dilute the country’s dependence on the Karachi port, which now handles over 80 percent of Pakistan's international trade. Framed within the transport plan of Pakistan’s 8th Five Year Plan (1993-94) a technical and financial feasibility study on Gwadar Port was conducted by Gifford & Partners & Technecon of Southampton, U.K., jointly with the Karachi-based Pakistani firm, Techno-Consult International. Their efforts made construction of the Gwadar port project a priority evaluated from a multiplicity of causes ranging from logistic, geostrategic to the imperatives of regional development. But actual execution of this undertaking had been postponed......

Kurdistan

Arab Conquest of India

...of India. • The Arab Muslims first tried to invade India during the reign of Khalif Omar, the second Khalif of the Islamic Ummah, but the attempt was pointless. Subsequent attempts by Hajjaj Bin Yusuf from Baghdad, the ruler of the eastern Arab Empire, also were useless. Finally, Emdad Uddin Mohammad Bin Qasim, the nephew and son-in-law of Hajjaj Bin Yusuf, finally captured Sindh in 712 AD. • The immediate cause of the Sindh invasion was led by the failure of Raja Dahir of Debol to bring into book the pirates who looted an Arab bound ship with presents for Hajjaj Bin Yusuf by the King of Ceylon and allegedly violated the daughters of some Arab traders on board. • At the age of 17 years Bin Qasim proceeded towards Sindh with a six thousand strong army and on his way received the help of the Makran rulers who were offended by the misrule of the Hindu rulers in Sindh that time. Bin Qasim also received support from the marines from the sea. • In the campaign Arab forces used stone throwing canon known as Ballista and easily destroyed the camps and defense lines of their enemies. Raja Dahir was defeated and killed in the campaign. • After the invasion of Sindh, Bin Qasim captured Multan in 713 and parts of Punjab and thus the entire empire of King Dahir fell into the hands of the Arabs. Sindh fell away from the central authority at Baghdad and became a small independent Muslim state until 871. • Widespread and apparently easy as the Arab conquest were, they did not go......
