The Distance Education Learning Online Distance education and learning is an education that depends on information technology, and instructional system that plan to provide learning to students, who are not present in a classroom setting. Instead of attending courses online, teachers and students can communicate at the same time, when it is convenience to exchange printed or electronic material through any suitable source. Taking classes online can be challenge for some students. Most students probably rather take classes on ground, because of fear they might be doing something wrong trying manage online courses. I’m an online student myself, taking classes at Penn Foster College. I did not know what I was doing, when I first start taking classes at Penn foster. I wonder if I was doing things like they supposed to be done. I did not know if I was doing it right way or wrong way. But now I’m glad to be taking classes online, because it more convenience for me and my job. Online education can be recognized as a tangible and learning experience though which students can earn a bachelor, master or doctoral degree. Virtual classroom used the internet to have mutual experience, where one can have video conferences, video lessons, and other learning concepts. The type of education learning is considered nontraditional education. Distance education is offered at all level s, but it is most an option for university level students. Full and part-time students is also available to study and do research study as well. Distance learning is the deliveries of instruction of course work from remote locations; allowing instructors and students to interact with each other without being in the same place. New technology has mad distance learning an increasingly popular option for instructors and students. Distance education is a method of teaching in which a student is not present in classroom setting. First of all, college online can be challenge without stepping a feet in a classroom campus. Students can take classes when it convenience to them. Online courses may help eliminate transportation, babysitting and other expenses by attending classes in traditional setting. If they have kids, they want have to leave home while attending to their kids. Online courses can be done from comfort of their home. Student want have step foot in classroom, because of working and attending to their kids at same time; they want have attend campus. Online courses often require a tech-savy student to learn how to usd new types of hardware and software to communicate and connect with their classes. Some online colleges develop and offer degree programs that might be available through public and private institutions. On the other hand, one concern is lack of face-to-face interaction with other instructors and fellow classmates. Students may experience a disconnection with classroom, but some schools try fixing this issue. The video conference technology that schools use is way to help student interact with teachers and students. However, it is always a good idea to find a school that has been accredited for enrolling to take classes online. Secondly, the advantages of taking classes online can be another challenge. When it provide excellent alternative training for student who want a great career. Online courses give students the opportunity to plan their time around rest of day; instead of been away from home. Students can work when they at peak energy whether early in morning or late at night. Course material is always accessible online, so there’s no need to schedule a special trip to library or admission office. All this make online learning a good option for students who need balance their work and family commitment. Students can take online courses and even online degrees while working at their job or while trying raise their family. Above all, earning a degree can show prospective employers that you are ambitious and want to remain informed and prepared for any challenge. A student can complete a large amount of classes at their convenience. Most of classes under distance learning programs don’t allow students to attend sessions at a particular time or place. Students can do and review assignment and homework at their convenience time. Distance learning makes it extremely comfortable for ladies and parents in general that have kids. This will allow parents to not look for care arrangements, because they can care for kids and classes from home at same time. Thirdly, the disadvantage of taking classes online can be another reason not to take on ground classes. Online courses require self-discipline. If you have time to concentrate outside classroom, online classes may not be for you. Otherwise, students will procrastinate, and it will be harder to obtain an online degree. If you have question you can contact your professor through email or phone. Some professors provide their home phone number. With traditional based classes in a classroom setting, you have more access to professors and can even meet with them one-on-one after class. At some colleges, financial aid will not cover your tuition and fees, so it best to stick with local colleges. Online learning limit the amount of public speaking practice you can gain from in-class presentation discussion threads, which is naturally built for traditional structured classes. When you have discussion question with fellow classmates, you want the face of person, they can be from another city, state or country. Some traditional colleges have no facilities; for examples, like libraries, gym, student stores, computer labs, research labs, study areas and more. Therefore, online classes just have few of these sources. In a usual classroom situation, a student routine can be right away reviewed during question and informal test. But with distance learning, a student get instructors feedbacks until the instructor has reviewed the work and send back to student for revision. Online learning is and disadvantage for students for this type learning. Some distance learning school program does not always offer all courses online; they may not obtain the qualification of the degree for pursuing a job. Distance learning program do not offer all study discipline for making choices, since technology and form of learning has and does not meet requirements of some curriculums. Finally, before you enrolled to take a class online through online schools, check to see if distance learning is for you. Earning a degree online can be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. When distance learning is committed using information technology. It was not well accepted and the equipment needed to provide it was expensive, but distance education is not for everyone. While some people thrive on the independence and freedom offered through such classes; therefore, others find themselves regretting their decision and wishing they had enrolled at a traditional school instead. Distance education students are now using their phone, desktop and television at same time in future for distance learning education. It is another way of learning than attending a traditional classroom. Ironically, that why most American students today prefer distance learning as a way learning and getting their education.…...

...Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling WAES April 07 The Case Study Introduction The purpose of this case study is to show process during the time I saw this client at Southwark Bereavement Care. In it I intend to focus on how the psychodynamic approach that I used with my client was effective and helped my client to have an understanding of the way he relates to people and to himself. For this I will cover the first 3 sessions and explore my thoughts on the process. The setting Southwark Bereavement Care is a short term, free counselling service offered to people living in the London borough of Southwark who have been bereaved. It offers weekly one to one sessions up to twelve weeks. This can be extended for a few more weeks in individual cases where both counsellor and supervisor agree it would be beneficial for client. Group supervision is provided by the agency fortnightly. The agency is based on the first floor of an office building in a residential area of south London. Clients are seen in a room towards the back of the house, which is quiet and dimly lit, with 2 sofas and a little table where there is a water filter and a box of tissues. There isn’t a waiting area and part of the contract that counsellors discuss with clients and request them not to turn up for session earlier than their allocated time. This has proven to be challenging at times when clients arrive early and counsellors have to let them in and use the waiting area that......

...understand why our government operates the way it does. I now feel that when speaking on American politics, I can now understand what is being said and now I can add something to the conversation. In PLSC 112 this summer, we learned about the policy making process within our government. The policy making process is important to our government because this is how we address and solve political issues within the government. Within our government, the social and political well being of our society is important for us to maintain our democracy. When problems arise that affect our social and political well being they must be addressed and taken care of. This is where the policy making process comes into play. When an issue arises, first, it must be identified as a problem. Any group, including the media, interest groups, the public, and politicians can identify an issue as a political problem. The second, and most important part of the policy making process is the agenda stage. After an issue has been identified, usually by an event, or series of events, it is brought to the attention of Congress and put on their political agenda, to be addressed and resolved by government action. Agenda setting is important to the policy making process because this is where an issue is evaluated and receives policy formulation, adoption, evaluation, and hopefully becomes law. Congress, the president, interest groups, and other administrative agencies come together to formulate and adopt......

... which will then grow into a beautiful smile that will last a life time. When pulling a tooth it is important to always have an adult around to help. Now it’s time to start working on pulling that front tooth. All we need is our pointer finger, an apple, wet paper towel, glass of water and an ice cube. Let’s start wiggling that tooth! Let’s start working out the tooth to help it come out a little easier. First, we need our pointer finger for this first step. Let’s begin to press back on the tooth with our pointer finger for fifteen seconds. We have to remember not to press to hard, just hard enough that we can feel a tingling at the bottom of our tooth around the gum. Now let’s repeat the process, but this time pressing the tooth forward. We need to repeat this process several times for the next several hours or until the tooth can easily be moved by the tongue. At this point it seems like a good stopping point for a snack, right? For this step we need the apple, not so much for a snack but to help with the pulling of the tooth. The apple is going to help put a little extra pressure on the tooth just enough to pop it out. Make sure the first bite is a big one. We’re going to count to three and on the count of three take one big bite into that red, juicy apple. Ready? One…two…THREE! Did it come out? The tooth should now have fallen out, but if the tooth didn’t come out we need to continue to chomp down on the apple until the tooth falls out. This step......

Decision Making Process Essay

...Decision Making Process Paper Te’ Portia Sibley MGT 230 About three years ago I decided to change jobs. I was called by a former coworker about a position opening up in a new retirement community that was preparing for opening. I am a housekeeper at a retirement community. This was never a career choice for me, but instead a necessity. It has always been my goal to get out of this job field and I felt an opportunity has come. The position was for a housekeeping supervisor. I applied for the position apprehensively because it had been seven years since I had held a supervisory position and my skill set was out dated. I also had apprehension about working with the former coworker again because he had sexually harassed me previous years earlier. I discussed the possibility with my mother who is a big confidante of mine. I didn’t disclose my thoughts on the coworker but only my thoughts of the position. She suggested I research the position and compare it to my skills. After research I found that the only real difference was the title and that I would have staff to organize. I updated my resume to highlight my current skill set and submitted it to the hiring representative at the new company. I ended up getting the job but it ended up being a bad decision. The steps I took to come to this decision were somewhat similar to the process in the text. I stated the problem which was deciding if I was qualified to take a new job. I generated solution which was to research the......

...Agbana Preye Mike, English 101-6, Process Essay, 10/02/2013. HOW TO MAKE ORANGE JUICE Why spend so much money on orange juice for breakfast when you can make it yourself in the convenience of your kitchen at very little cost? The process is very easy and takes a very short time to complete. You also won’t need sophisticated appliances to make orange juice and the materials needed are readily available. The easiest method of making orange juice is to use the “citrus juicer”. You only need the “citrus juicer”, knives, water, fresh oranges and a fruit and vegetable wash which you can get from your nearby store. The citrus juicer looks just like a blender. It consists basically of two parts, a reamer and a collecting cup beneath the reamer To begin, you have to check your citrus juicer for dust and debris and make sure to wipe off impurities with cloth dipped in warm water. A small layer of dust in your juicer could mar the delicious taste of the juice. Cleaning should be done while the juicer is unplugged as it could cause an electric shock to the user. Also check your citrus juicer to make sure all its components are functioning properly. You don’t want to finish a stage in the process of making your juice and find out that the part of your juicer needed for the next stage is not working properly. Apart from that, operating a faulty machine may cause injury to the operator or may even damage the machine. The next stage is to wash......

... Total Quality Management (TQM) Total quality management or TQM is an integrative philosophy of management for continuously improving the quality of products and processes. TQM functions on the premise that the quality of products and processes is the responsibility of everyone who is involved with the creation or consumption of the products or services offered by an organization. In other words, TQM capitalizes on the involvement of management, workforce, suppliers, and even customers, in order to meet or exceed customer expectations. Considering the practices of TQM as discussed in six empirical studies, Cua, McKone, and Schroeder (2001) identified the nine common TQM practices as cross-functional product design, process management, supplier quality management, customer involvement, information and feedback, committed leadership, strategic planning, cross-functional training, and employee involvement. It is a comprehensive and structured approach to organizational management that seeks to improve the quality of products and services through ongoing refinements in response to continuous feedback. ...ready to welcome their new pet into their home, regardless of the type chosen. Once home the responsible pet owner will need to introduce their pet to its new environment. It is necessary to let the pet explore its new home on its own; giving ample time to do so regardless if it is sharing the home with the pet owner or has a cage. In some cases, a pet owner will need to show their pet where certain necessities are located, like food and water. In some cases, pet owners want their pet to “do their business” in a particular area. In these situations, training and location introduction are critical, and may have to be revisited for some time during the near future. Some pet owners have purchased training aids or tools to aid in this process. Responsible pet owners do not just stop at bringing the pet home and providing basic necessities. Training is not only beneficial for some pets, but in many cases can result in a greater experience during their lifetime. Pet ownership can be a rewarding and delightful experience. However, in order to be a responsible pet owner it is vital to make a realistic assessment of their life, the pet owner’s needs and wants, and the pet’s needs. Additionally, regular re-assessment is needed not only for the pet, but the pet owner. If at any time a pet cannot be cared for, it is important, as a responsible pet owner, to find someone that can care for that pet. Not only does this provide continued, enjoyable life of the pet, but allows......

...The bank statement lists the activity in the bank account during the recent month as well as the balance in the bank account. A bank reconciliation will need to be performed to ensure all transactions have been recorded in the general ledger. When the company receives its bank statement, the company should verify that the amounts on the bank statement are consistent or compatible with the amounts in the company's Cash account in its general ledger and vice versa. This process of confirming the amounts is referred to as reconciling the bank statement, bank statement reconciliation, bank reconciliation, or doing a "bank rec." The benefit of reconciling the bank statement is knowing that the amount of Cash reported by the company (company's books) is consistent with the amount of cash shown in the bank's records. Because most companies write hundreds of checks each month and make many deposits, reconciling the amounts on the company's books with the amounts on the bank statement can be time consuming. The process is complicated because some items appear in the company's Cash account in one month, but appear on the bank statement in a different month. For example, checks written near the end of August are deducted immediately on the company's books, but those checks will likely clear the bank account in early September. These items will need to be recorded as outstanding and the bank balance will be adjusted by this amount. Sometimes the bank decreases the company's bank......

Rhetorical Analyis Essay

...Alejandro Guerrero English 3.5 12 April 2015 Rhetorical Analysis Essay In the early twentieth century, America was plagued with the disease of child labor, a work force that was marred with kids of all ages, from ages two to twelve that inhabited nearly every facet of the new industrial age that had grasped hold of post Civil War America. Throughout the masterfully crafted essay, Kelley emphasizes the need to radically reform the corporate system in which the helpless young are being coerced into a childhood spoiled by the capitalist desires of an ever-evolving country. Kelley uses an arsenal of rhetorical devices to heighten her points and explain the severity of the economic and social travesty that was sweeping the country during the era. Among the ranks are the uses of logical claims, emotional appeal, and skillful imagery that help Kelley develop her argument into one that is masterful and effective in its conviction. At its core, the argument is geared to be its most compelling through Kelley’s assimilation of logical assertions based solely on the premise of immoral and unrighteous exploitation of children. In her piece, Kelley equips a barrage of specific and convincing examples to explicate her reasons on why she believes the employment of underage individuals is not only illegal, but devalues the very morals and principles that human civilization is built upon, an unwritten rule of ethical code that no individual human nor all encompassing society may......
