The fire wall ports that you must have open are HTTP and RSTP, so that is port 80 and 554 respectfully. HTTP is used often as protocols on the web. The reason you should open both is because it uses a thing called Protocol rollover. Protocol rollover is used to negotiate the most efficient protocol they have in common. It’s possible to specify which protocol the administrator wants to use with URL prefixes. It is very effective to enable both protocols to add an overall better user experience. SSL is the recommended security method for running the Windows Media Administration site. Secure Socket Layer provides the highest level of security by encrypting data before it’s sent over the network according to Microsoft’s web site. It still has to be used with another authentication method as well. Personally, I feel like basic authentication offers some advantages. One of those advantages is that the users have to have a username and password to access the website. The administrators manage the usernames and passwords as well. Basic authentication also works with most browsers, easy to manage and easy to use. One downfall is that the credentials are not encrypted. That one downfall is a huge security risk that most wouldn’t be willing to take. As a network admin you want the risk to be as low as possible. Confidentiality, integrity and availability are the most important keys when running a network. The three protocols used by Windows Media Services to administer the server are Real Time Streaming Protocol, Hypertext Transfer Protocol and Microsoft Media Server. Real time Streaming Protocol is a control protocol, used by default in Windows Media Services running on Windows server 2008. The protocol uses port number 554 as stated earlier. Hypertext Transfer Protocol is the standard application layer protocol for Web communications. This protocol uses port 80, and the secure version HTTPS uses port 443. Microsoft Media Server is used to transfer real-time multimedia data mostly audio and video.

Video Analysis Week 3-4

...Video Analysis Week 3-4 DeVry University BUSN 460 In order for any company to grow into a successful and viable company in the future, there are a number of things that have to be implemented to ensure there’s balance and the organization is running properly. For CanGo they have the vision of where they want to be in the future and the start of a good internal structure to carry out those goals and vision. Where things seem to get off track for CanGo is in the areas of communication between departments, ensuring that full financial analysis have been completed before starting on a project, internal organization within the company, lack of professionalism between employees, and lack of concern for legality when it comes to company action’s. All of these issues if left uncorrected can pose a huge threat to the viability of CanGo’s business in the future. However, on the other hand if the following recommendations are put into play and the current issues are resolved it will only further and grow CanGo in their current state and in the future. Issues: 1. There seems to be a serious lack of communication between departments at CanGo. At any given time it is apparent that employees do not seem to know what others are working on or have already worked on. 2. CanGo has not done a proper full financial analysis regarding the new system; once again no project should be jumped into without proper......

...financial industry as the 2008 recession resulting in billion dollar bailouts worldwide. Based on your review of the mortgage rate trends, predict the future (within a year) rate of the 30-year fixed and the 15-year fixed rate mortgage, indicating the basis and rationale of your prediction, and the resulting impact to the mortgage industry. Based on my review of the mortgage rate trends I believe that the interest rates will continue to remain steady for both the 30-year and 15-year fixed mortgage rates because mortgage originations are still down. With lower interest rates consumers can put money back into their pockets boosting the economy in preparedness of rates to rise in future years just not within 2015. I believe it will take another 2-3 years before interest rates increase giving more time for consumers to increase credit ratings and savings....

Each of the chief executive officers has a method of either centralization or diversification utilizing some or no vertical integration in the planning function of management. There is little mention of other markets, businesses or industries in which each the CEOs tries to tackle instead they stay within their industry perhaps for lack of experience, creativity or for fear of risking to return to a poor performing era. Coca-Cola CEO Neville Isdell Coca-Cola's performance was out marketed by Pepsi when Pepsi-Cola went into a plan to diversify not just in its beverage industry but in the chips and snacks industry as well. Coca-Cola's CEO Neville Isdell did not want to move in the same direction as Pepsi. He perhaps did not feel it was a great idea to follow Pepsi into diversifying since they were dominated by Pepsi before. Instead, Mr. Isdell stuck with staying within the realm of the beverage industry and sought to have a breakthrough with the non-carbonated drinks. Pepsi-Cola had already captured this market and went further into becoming a more diverse conglomerate over Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola's CEO spoke during the interview and stated he had no real aspirations of becoming a CEO but felt compelled to do the best job he could for the company. (Flock, unk) His......

Such corporations as Wal-Mart Incorporated benefit considerably from a financial analysis because it assists in determining the durability in handling sales, assets, and debts. Wal-Mart was established in 1962 by Sam Walton in Rogers, Arkansas; by 1967 24 stores were open with a $12.7 million sales revenue. In 1970, the corporation became a publicly traded company with stocks at $16.50 per share. Ten years later Sam Walton reached $1 billion in sales annually, beating out other major competitors. In 1990, Wal-Mart was the number one retailer nationally, and continued its success by going international. Today, Wal-Mart employs 2.2 million associates in North America and internationally, serving over 200 million customers weekly at more than 11,000 stores. Horizontal Analysis After completing the horizontal analysis of Wal-Mart’s consolidated balance sheets for the years of 2011 and 2012, several elements stand out with significant variances. For example, Wal-Mart’s cash and equivalents decreased by 11% while total assets increased......

Bus 307 Week 3: Spend Analysis

...2012 Spend Analysis I. Introduction The current condition of the economy in the United States (US) and increased economic pressures has reinvigorated many companies to rethink their purchasing practices. One of the best ways for a company to evaluate its spending patterns is through a spend analysis. “A spend analysis is the process of determining what is being spent, with whom and for what” (Hingorani, 2010, p. 58). In order to accomplish this task companies must use software programs to import and aggregate data from multiple systems. This paper will explore several components of the spend analysis process including the risk of using software programs alone to analyze spending patterns; how Lean Six Sigma processes might be useful when developing a spend analysis process, and why it is important to involve multiple functional areas, most notably finance. II. Relying on Software Alone While software programs offer a great platform for organizing data they do not provide a method of cleansing data. What I mean is, spend data can be housed in many different databases, and trying to consolidate the data correctly can prove to be very difficult. Ever heard of the saying “garbage in, garbage out”? That is exactly what you might get relying solely on software programs to complete your spend analysis. This is where analytical skills and critical thinking become very important when setting up a spend analysis process. First, you must......

Sci241 Week 1 3 Day Diet Analysis

...Week One Assignment: 3 Day Diet Analysis SCI241 April 29, 2012 Week One Assignment: 3 Day Diet Analysis My current eating habits are not the greatest, to say the least. Instead of eating healthy for breakfast, such as oatmeal, fruit, and juice, I usually eat a couple of waffles doused with maple syrup and peanut butter. And I have a Pepsi. Lately I have been trying to eat yogurt with granola instead, but I also just realized that the granola is not helping me in the calorie situation. For lunch, if I am at work, I will usually order something from the cafeteria which almost always includes French fries. Sometimes I will order chicken strips, other times a French dip. Lately, I have been trying to bring leftovers from dinner to save money, and I am hoping that helps me a little bit in the calorie department. But again, I always have at least 20 oz. of soda with lunch. I have started bringing a water bottle with me to work so that I am not always relying on soda for my liquid. For dinner, a lot of the time I eat out, which I know the portions are always huge at restaurants, but I still eat it all anyways. I have tried cooking at home more often, which also (hopefully) saves some on calories. With dinner I usually have a couple cans of Pepsi. I have noticed lately that I am gaining weight also, which is very frustrating. I had been at a point that I was losing weight, and I think it is because I was not eating breakfast, and now I make sure that I do. ......
