ANS 2
The Morgenthau Plan, first proposed by United States Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgenthau, Jr. in a memorandum entitled Suggested Post-Surrender Program for Germany, advocated that the Allied occupation ofGermany following World War II include measures to eliminate Germany's ability to wage war by eliminating its armament industry, and the removal or destruction of other key industries basic to military strength. This included the removal or destruction of all industrial plants and equipment in the Ruhr area.[1]
In occupied Germany, the thinking behind the Morgenthau plan was at first reflected in the U.S. occupation directiveJCS 1067[2][3] and in the Allied Industrial plans for Germany aimed at "industrial disarmament".[3] Compared with the Morgenthau Plan, however, JCS 1067 contained a number of deliberate "loopholes", limiting any action to short-term military measures and preventing large-scale destruction of mines and industrial plant, giving wide-ranging discretion to the military governor and Morgenthau's opponents at the War Department.[4][5] JCS 1067 was later replaced by JCS 1779, which aimed at restoring a "stable and productive Germany" and was soon followed by the Marshall Plan.[4][6]
The contemporary historical assessment is that the Morgenthau Plan was of no significance for later occupation and policy in Germany, but that Nazi propaganda on the subject had a lasting effect and that it is still used for propaganda purposes by extreme right-wing organizations.[7][8]

It was invented in 1876 by Alexander Graham Bell and by 1951 direct long-distance calling (without the need for an operator) was introduced. In 1973 the first portable cell phone call was made by Martin Cooper of Motorola to his rival at Bell labs (Joel Engel). It is important to note that mobile phones had been ued in cars......

Mobile Marketing

...1. Executive Summary This report describes the various means by which Beck Taxi can increase its revenue and market share in the highly commoditized Cab Industry in Toronto. Any increase in pricing of radio service would lead to high attrition among the drivers and poor service quality in terms of timely service as drivers would start picking up fares. Hence Beck taxi should maintain status quo with respect to pricing radio fee. It should generate revenues through advertising inside and on the cab, by attracting more drivers, vehicle fleet owners and license plate holders by providing them incentives and by creating strong differentiating points by investing in technology and marketing activities. Situational Analysis Toronto’s Cab Industry has a supply overhang; also, there is not much differentiation between the 35 brokerages operating in Toronto in terms of the service provided hence cab service is highly commoditized. Toronto is a phone order market where speed of response is the index of customer service. Beck Taxi is the market leader, managing a number of plates and providing radio despatch service to vehicles. Its objective is to maximise its revenue and market share. Beck Taxi has not increased its radio fees since 1989 hence there is huge potential to increase its revenue by increasing the radio fee or implementing two part tariff where the driver is charged a fixed fee and a usage fee based on the number of radio despatches. But any increase in radio......
