Foss Coffee will focus its marketing activities on reaching the University students and faculty, people working in offices located close to the coffee shop and on sophisticated teenagers. Since coffee consumption is universal across different income categories and proximity to the University Belt campuses will provide access to the targeted customer audience. It will also cater to people who want to get their daily cup of great-tasting coffee. Such customers vary in ages, the location of our proposed business is at Upper ground floor of SM City Manila near Pizza Hut. The lease contract has an option of renewal for three years at a fixed rate that Foss Coffee will execute depending on the financial strength of its business, although the location is close to the University campus means that most of its clientele will be college students and faculty members. Our market study shows that these are discerning customers that gravitate towards better tasting coffee. Furthermore, a lot of college students are pulling off all nighters for their exams and they need caffeine to keep them awake and this will provide a unique possibility for building a loyal client base. II. DEMAND
The demand is based on the population of the university students, faculty members and office workers in the vicinity of Ermita, Manila in the National Capital Region. This is for a five (5) year period beginning 2010 to 2014. YEAR | HISTORICAL POPULATION | 2011 | 20000 | 2012 | 30000 | 2013 | 40000 | 2014 | 50000 | 2015 | 60000 |

There is no available data about the demand of coffee services for the past years. Therefore, the proponents used assume what the demand was for last five years.
The total projected demand for the past next three years is presented below.

Aspects of Identity

...Elijah Kearse Professor Martin English 110 Paper#3 November 11, 2012 Aspects of Identity In both stories Battle Royal by Ralph Ellison, and Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been by Joyce Carol Oates, the characters both live in a made up world. In the story, Battle Royal, a young African American boy grew up during the segregation and slavery period. He thought of himself as an “invisible man.” He was naïve and couldn’t find himself and was asking everyone but himself. He is in distraught of the death of his grandfather; he portrayed the image of him throughout his life. He had to live with the conscious of his granfather’s advice in his mind. On his graduation day he delivered an oration in which he showed that humility was the secret, indeed, the very essence of progress. Then he was invited to give the speech at a gathering of the town’s leading white citizens. He was placed into a battle royal before he can say his speech with several other young men. During his speech he was laughed at and yelled at for phrases he stated. After his speech he was awarded a scholarship to the state college for Negroes. This story is similar to, Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been, in a way that both characters are naïve. Connie has always looked at herself on the mirror. Her mother scolded her to stop and she wanted her to be more like her sister. Connie’s sister June was neat and responsible and her mother wanted Connie to portray the image of her. Lucky for Connie,...

...Aspect-oriented programming is a way of modularizing crosscutting concerns much like object-oriented programming is a way of modularizing common concerns. AspectJ is an implementation of aspect-oriented programming for Java A join point is a well-defined point in the program flow. A pointcut picks out certain join points and values at those points. A piece of advice is code that is executed when a join point is reached. These are the dynamic parts of AspectJ. AspectJ's aspect are the unit of modularity for crosscutting concerns. They behave somewhat like Java classes, but may also include pointcuts, advice and inter-type declarations. AspectJ provides for many kinds of join points, but this chapter discusses only one of them: method call join points. A method call join point encompasses the actions of an object receiving a method call. It includes all the actions that comprise a method call, starting after all arguments are evaluated up to and including return (either normally or by throwing an exception). when a particular method body executes execution(void Point.setX(int)) when a method is called call(void Point.setX(int)) when an exception handler executes handler(ArrayOutOfBoundsException) when the object currently executing (i.e. this) is of type SomeType this(SomeType) when the target object is of type SomeType target(SomeType) when the executing code belongs to class MyClass within(MyClass) when the join point is in the control flow of a...

...change their behavior, and these changes are evidence of an unseen but real cost of levying taxes.32 I agree with this assessment. I would also add that most of the evidence for behavioral responses in the book relates to tax avoidance strategies (e.g., charitable giving techniques, shifting income from corporations to individuals, and the timing of receipts), rather than to real activities (labor and saving decisions). This difference is important because tax avoidance techniques can in theory be addressed by making the tax base more comprehensive and enforcement more effective—as it presumably was when the rich paid a 58.6% effective rate during World War II.33 The question of whether the rich can effectively be taxed is related to another aspect of taxation that is almost not addressed in the book—the possibility of illegal tax evasion. In other countries, there is evidence that the “ underground economy” that is not reported to the tax authorities is as much as fifty percent of GDP. The size of the “ tax gap” in the United States is presumably much smaller (we have the best collection system in the world, although it depends heavily on withholding and information reporting), and much of it is not applicable to the rich (e.g., tipping income). But there is one avenue of evading taxes that is particularly open to the rich—shifting the income to tax havens overseas and not reporting it to the IRS. This form of tax evasion is more available to the rich because income from......

Important Aspects of a Free Market

...Discuss some important aspects of the free enterprise system or capitalism. Three essential principles of capitalism are: production is organized for the market, the means of production are privately owned, and investment is privately controlled, and the people who use those means of production to produce goods and services, that is workers, are hired on a labor market to work in firms as employees. Capitalism is a form of market economy in which production and investment are privately controlled, and the work of production is performed by employees, hired from free labor markets. Capitalism is essential to the function of society due to the opportunities that it creates and the augmentation of an individual’s vitality. Individuals can decide which economic decisions they deem most appropriate. Many aspects of capitalism ring a bell of liberty, the positive aspects of freedom and choice, and the hope that is prevalent and the everlasting lure of riches keep the engine going. For example, you may be employed right for $9.25 an hour, but tomorrow you could become a sales person and control your income by your commissions. This mere fact, a potential exits, is inspiring and motivational and keeps the free agents content. A Scottish economist Adam Smith, laid out the foundation for free enterprise in The Wealth of Nations (1776). Smith maintained that a government should not interfere with a nation's economy but instead should let individuals act as "free agents" who pursue......

...2 aspects of the readings that I believed in were : The first was from “I know what I want to say but u can’t say it”, this particular reading really spoke to me. There were points that told us to create outlines and make notes ,two practices that I am very familiar with as I use them for my writings. The second is from ‘writing down the points’ , there is this instance where the author says “writing practice embraces your whole life and doesn’t demand any logical form”- this quote I found to be really relatable. I like writing , and I like writing for myself , there are times when I find my thoughts to be really all mixed up , in times like those I find just sitting down and putting those thoughts on paper to be really cathartic. It doesn’t matter what I write as long as I keep my conversation with my paper going. The two aspects that I didn’t believe in were : I am a pen and paper person , I really don’t like typing much , it’s the use of my hands , physical connect of the paper with my thoughts that matters , hence I think switching my writing tools , I believe it creates a kind of barrier to the flow of thoughts. Neither do I believe in skipping parts in a write up , I believe it ends up messing up the continuity in my writings. The two aspects that I found to be similar: Both articles talk about a continuous practice of writing. They talk about how this practice helps in the continuous flow of thoughts and imagination that really helps. Both articles......

...Aspects of Cases, Was It Justified? Jeremie Rancier National American University Abstract When juveniles are being questioned there are concerns to worry about. They have rights just as an adult does, however these rights should be within limits. The rights of having legal counsel should always be given. The thing about this could be that what is considered legal counsel. Can a parent be considered or even a probation officer? They aren’t technically attorneys and can’t really be considered legal counsel. The only thing that can be considered is a guardian who is responsible for them. These different things have always been an issue with me. I will stress out over a paper and then end up doing it an hour before it is due. I plan on studying more on APA format so I can cite better. I plan on bouncing ideas off of my husband and daughter. I think they would give me good feedback. I need to start on my papers early that way I am not waiting till the last minute. The Problem that I would like to try to solve in my community is trying to get a Rec center/ boys and girls club in this town or even a nearby town. We have nothing here for any kids do after school or in the summer. All we have in this town is a swimming pool. This town is a small town with an hub station for BNSF and a training site for the national guard. I like this topic for the main reason before I moved to this town I lived in a town that had a rec center. My children enjoyed it every day and during the summer. They would attend different sporting events, learned how to interact with other people outside the school. Legal Aspects

...The legal aspects of professional psychology covers a large area; such as assessments, HIPPA, confidentiality, testing, written consent, competence, and diagnosing. It is a large part of the psychology that most struggle with just to make sure that they do not break any laws and at the same time, giving the right treatment to every patient. The clinicians and patients have guidelines set forth according to the American Psychological Association (APA) that protects both parties from unethical and legal decisions. In this paper, the importance of informed consent and refusal, the legal issues within assessments, testing, and diagnosis, confidentiality in the therapeutic relationship, the impact of legislation and the role of competence in professional psychology will be discussed in detail. Legal Issues Related to Informed Consent and Refusal The informed consent is the agreement between two parties to work collaboratively (Pope & Vasquez, 2007). In psychology, the client signs the consent form to allow treatment from the psychologist who may include testing, treatment, and initial psychological assessment. The patients have the right to their information; in terms of benefits, alternative treatments and about the risks.
