The importance of communication protocols: Communication Protocols is the wire that connects the two cans. Simply put, it is an agreement between the communicating parties ensuring the packeted information reaches its final destination undisturbed. There is normally a set of procedures that enables this success. Handshaking (dialing out), encoding method (receiving information), compressions methods, packet structure, and addressing (converts the language of 1’s and 0’s into a readable language). Based on these procedures protocols are often defined by standards bodies. A protocol must be flawlessly designed in order to ensure efficient communication. Protocols are also described as hardware or software components that carry out the OSI model guidelines for transferring information on a network. Kudler Fine Foods intends to use Internet Protocol (IP) over a wide area network to perform all day to day duties.
Identify the protocols in your design and provide rationale for your decision The basic infrastructure that shall be used with KFF includes an internet base with cloud sharing. With a great majority of the world using the internet as a way of communication it would be in KFF’s best interest to capitalize on it. The business to consumer and business to business sectors are booming with the use of smartphones, laptops, and tablets leading this digital push. It is imperative for KFF to effectively compete. By offering online shopping, KFF will expand their market beyond the Encinitas locale. The ability to reach every corner of the world means a more profitable fiscal return for KFF and its investors. “In the strictest sense, the Internet is an internetwork composed of a worldwide collection of networks, routers, gateways, servers and clients lined by a common set of telecommunication protocols – the IP family.” (Telecommunication Essentials, 251)…...

Lab 22

...Lab 22 Name __Lance Lanier____ Write an essay of 500 words, giving examples on the use of Kirchhoff’s Current Law. Kirchhoff's Current Law is one of two fundamental laws in electrical engineering, the other being Kirchhoff's Voltage Law. Kirchhoff’s Current Law is a fundamental law, as fundamental as Conservation of Mass in mechanics, for example, because Kirchhoff’s Current Law is really conservation of charge. Kirchhoff's Voltage Law and Kirchhoff’s Current Law are the starting point for analysis of any circuit. Kirchhoff’s Current Law and Kirchhoff's Voltage Law always hold and are usually the most useful piece of information you will have about a circuit after the circuit itself. People and computer programs both use Kirchhoff's Voltage Law and Kirchhoff’s Current Law for circuit analysis. Kirchhoff's Current Law is not as complex as it might seem.  All one really needs to know is that charge is conserved, so Kirchhoff's Current Law is really based on one simple fact: Charge can neither be created nor destroyed. From that basic fact we can get to Kirchhoff's Current Law.  Despite that simplicity, it is a fundamental, widely used law that you need to know to go very far in electrical engineering. The principle of conservation of electric charge implies that at any node in an electrical circuit, the sum of currents flowing into that node is equal to the sum of currents flowing out of that node. The algebraic sum of currents in a network of conductors meeting at a......

Catch 22

...Catch 22 Mr. Secretary, By your request I have researched the directive known as Catch 22. After extensive research through various sources, I am now able to present you with the information I have gathered. I will first define the term for you then I will explain what I see as the best solution to your proposal of its reinstatement. A Catch 22 is essentially a paradox by which a statement leads to the contradiction of that very statement. The term Catch 22 was coined by Joseph Heller and refers to the US Army clause 22 which states: “All persons with mental issues should be removed from active combat upon request; however, requesting removal from active combat is a sign of mental stability as it is the self preservation function of the brain working.” An individual’s recognition of his mental state shows his cognitive ability to understand and value his own safety, therefore, making his mentally capable of the duties at hand. So you see, Mr. Secretary, the Catch 22 is a very assuming and entrapping clause that only takes into account one’s ability to recognize self-preservation. As defined above, the Catch 22 directive is an entrapment tool that was used by the US Armed Forces to avoid losing capable soldiers in a time of high stakes and world war. Mr. Secretary, I believe your interest in re-instituting this clause must have been stifled by the above mentioned; however, if you believe there is sufficient reason to press on with this proposal, allow me to curb your......

Indp Part 2

...Integrative Network Design Project (INDP) Part 2 NTC/362 May 12, 2014 Fernando Casafranca INDP, Part 2 Protocols have a significant impact to ensure a network works properly. It is important to understand what is meant by communication protocols and what may be required for the upgrade design for Patton-Fuller’s network. The Internet has protocols designed for its use and these protocols will integrate into the new system. A small portion of the network architecture is discussed as it fits these new requirements. The increase in network traffic will have an impact and will drive the need for an analysis. Problems and limitations will become clear as long as the analysis concentrates on certain areas. Implementing certain strategies will mitigate the effects the analysis will uncover. * Communication Protocols The conceptual framework should already be present with the current Cisco switches and routers already used in the IT data center. The Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) protocol model is a standard seven layer framework utilized by the industry. These protocols are important because they establish the communication rules. Two devices that require each other to communicate on a network must follow a set of rules to ensure they are compatible to each other. The seven layers of the OSI specify the hardware and software component requirements to ensure that the collection of these is adequate enough to exchange information on the network. The inclusion......

Phase

...Phase 1 Individual Project Phase 1 - Healthcare Foundations HSS103-1403A-04 : Introduction to Healthcare Delivery Systems 7/17/2014 Tamika Warford Explain the various government roles in health care and explain your examples. The government’s involvement in the market exists along a continuum. limited government regulation in the system allows businesses to freely compete. This type of system, a system with limited or no regulations, is described by the term laissez- faire, or “ hands off.” At the far right, complete regulation could be characterized by government owning and running the entire health care system and mandating all components from the types of services provided to the prices that clinicians could charge or how much salary clinicians could earn. Examples of a fully regulated system are the National Health Service in Great Britain, the French health care system or the health care system of the People’s Republic of China. According to a study of the cost components of health care, approximately 14.5 percent of the dollars spent on actual use of medical and health care services ($ 339.2 billion of $ 1.34 trillion in personal health expenditures in 2002) in the United States is spent on regulation ( Conover, 2004), and only $ 170 billion of benefit is derived from that government regulation. The roles played by these two different levels of government are dynamic and differ by political ideology. Some believe that to have equitable access to care, the...

Catch-22

...Catch-22 “You wouldn’t be normal if you were never afraid. Even the bravest men experience fear. One of the biggest jobs we all face in combat is to overcome fear.”(ch. 9) In times where desperate times call for desperate measures, the novel Catch-22, writing by Joseph Heller, follows the life of a B-25 fighter pilot named John Yossarian, in addition to other members of his squadron. Yossarian is the key protagonist of the novel who finds a more important mission than the one assigned to him while in the air force, and this is to preserve his own life at all costs. Over the course of this novel, this young man finds himself stationed on a small island of Pianosa, off the west coast of Italy, in the Mediterranean Sea. Placed under the command of Major Major, and Major De-Coverley, as well as General Dreedle, Yossarian now finds himself faced with the predicaments of an overbearing and abusing bureaucracy, as well as the contemplation of sanity vs. insanity as his ticket out of this station. The theme to be best directed with Catch-22 is the unknowing between truth and falsehood. In addition to that, is the blind sight between who are really your friends, and your enemies. Joseph Heller presents a vast arrangement of symbolism in the novel. First and foremost being the man in the white cast at the start of the novel. When he was brought to the hospital, the other men viewed him in such a way that it was ignored that he was a man, but was seen more as a viewing...

Unit 22

...Unit 22 P3: Compare different research methodologies for health and social care. In this assignment I will compare different research methodologies for health and social care. The methodology is the overall approach you select to conduct your research – for example, whether you will use a scientist or social; science methodology. It includes the specific methods you will use and the literature search to contextualise your project within existing knowledge and understanding of the subject. Primary research involves seeking new knowledge that has not been previously published. The researcher gathers new data from participant or by examining objects, material or data in a different way from previous studies. Primary research in health and social care often involves gathering data from individuals. Surveys using questionnaires and interviews are commonly used techniques and participants may be users of services or members of the public. Secondary research is about finding out new information or understanding, a researcher needs to know what the existing information and understanding about the topic is, as published in books, journals and on the internet. Secondary research is essential for any research project. All researchers need to read widely around their subject of interest sp that they are aware not just of long-established knowledge but also of new knowledge that is emerging while they are doing their own research. Quantitative research involves numbers and measuring...

Kudler Fine Foods Network Overview NTC/362 - FUNDAMENTALS OF NETWORKING Instructor: ANDREW CARPENTER Individual: INDP, Part 2 Assignment The Kudler Fine Foods is one the best fine food stores around. They have come a long way in such a short amount of time. However, Kudler has out grown the old network infrastructure and is in major need of an enterprise wide upgrade. The strategic goals of the enterprise network are to introduce new technologies in data collection, company communication, and information protection while providing the best data speeds and network access. An upgrade is very important to Kudler Fine Foods and if done correctly it will increase revenue and reduce the cost of operations in all Kudler Fine Food stores. The new network will bring Kudler Fine Foods back up to technological speed and at the same time improve the way they keep track of inventory and sales by using data mining techniques which will be collected and analyzed in real time. After careful review of the Kudler Fine Foods network currently in use, it has been determined the network topology being used at this time is the bus network. The bus network is set-up in such a way that all the network nodes are connected via CAT5 to the bus or communication line. All of the sites in the corporation are using the same configuration of workstations, servers, and standalone ups. All the networks have one way of communicating to the Internet, which is by 56k......

...in higher education. Instructors communicate with students and students communicate with instructors and their peers. In a class, whether in-person or online, instructors often communicate both the information they are teaching and feedback to students. Students communicate their understanding of the subject as well as questions or concerns they might have. When looking at the forms of communication needed to do this, it is obvious there are significant differences between a traditional in-person classroom setting and the many variants of online education. Important questions to ask are, “What are those differences?” and “Does the form of communication make a difference in student motivation?” I will be addressing both questions in this phase of the project. In-Person vs. Online Communication methods vary widely between an in-person class and an online class. The differences are not particularly obvious, though, especially when you add in the many forms of both online classrooms and in-person classrooms. In higher education, in-person classrooms are dramatically different are not the same as they were from decades ago. While I have used the term “traditional” in describing in-person classrooms, many are not quite traditional at all. Even in-person classes tend to have an electronic element. Often grades and documents are posted in an online forum using a learning management system such as Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, Latte, etc. Students and professors may exchange......
