I am a teacher at heart, and there are moments in the classroom when I can hardly hold the joy. When my students and I discover unexplored areas to search, when a hidden solution opens up before us, when our daily experience brightens our mind in this case i can say teaching is the finest work I know. The connections of teaching have three important sources.

The first two are commonplace, but the third and most fundamental are rarely given it’s due. First, the subjects we teach are as bulky and difficult as life, so our knowledge of them is always imperfect and partial. No matter how we devote ourselves to reading and research, teaching requires a command of content that always escapes our understanding. Second, the students we teach are superior in their life and even more difficult.

Teaching, like any human activity begins from one's self for better or for worse. As i teach, I project the condition of my personality onto my students, my subject and my way of class activity. The daily activities I experience in the classroom are often no more or less than the difficulties of my inner existence. Teaching reflects to the personality, knowing my subject, my students and the evaluation of students I have a chance to gain self-knowledge.

We need to open a new style in our assessment of good teaching; the teacher’s approach to his life - intellectual, emotional, and spiritual these three important paths must be taken to plan. Reduce teaching to intellect and it becomes a unkind ideas; reduce it to emotions and it becomes selfish; reduce it to the spiritual and it loses its anchor to the world. Intellect, emotion, and spirit depend on each other for wholeness. They are linked in the human self and in education at its best, and we need to link them in our academic discussion as…...

The Heart

...you give your friends valentines and little heart-shaped candies on Valentine's Day? Do you ever cross your heart when making a promise that you really, really mean? Or turn on the radio to hear a guy singing about his broken heart? We see and hear about hearts everywhere. A long time ago, people even thought that their emotions came from their hearts, maybe because the heart beats faster when a person is scared or excited. Now we know that emotions come from the brain, and in this case, the brain tells the heart to speed up. So what's the heart up to, then? How does it keep busy? What does it look like? Let's find out. Working That Muscle Your heart is really a muscle. It's located a little to the left of the middle of your chest, and it's about the size of your fist. There are lots of muscles all over your body — in your arms, in your legs, in your back, even in your behind. But the heart muscle is special because of what it does. The heart sends blood around your body. The blood provides your body with the oxygen and nutrients it needs. It also carries away waste. Your heart is sort of like a pump, or two pumps in one. The right side of your heart receives blood from the body and pumps it to the lungs. The left side of the heart does the exact opposite: It receives blood from the lungs and pumps it out to the body. You probably guessed that the blood just doesn't slosh around your body once it leaves the heart. It moves through many tubes called......

Heart

...What is coronary heart disease? Coronary heart disease is the name for the disease in which your hearts blood supply is blocked or partially blocked by a build-up of fatty acids, such as cholesterol and other waste substances, in the coronary arteries. This makes the arteries narrower and restricts blood flow. Arteries are ‘tubes’ that carry blood away from the heart. The coronary arteries are the first vessels that branch off from the aorta. The aorta is the largest artery in the body. It transports and distributes oxygen rich blood to all arteries. The coronary arteries extend from the aorta to the heart walls supplying blood to the heart itself because like all other muscles the heart needs nutrients and oxygen too. Despite all the blood that flows through the heart, the heart can’t use any of the nutrients and other necessities from it, which is why it needs its own arteries. The chance of getting coronary heart disease is increased if you: * have high blood pressure * have a high blood cholesterol level * do not take regular exercise * have diabetes * have a family history of CHD * are obese/overweight * smoke Coronary heart disease can cause: * Chest pains – CHD can also cause Angina, a condition that causes severe pain in the chest. * Restricted blood flow in arteries – This can cause a fatal rhythm disturbance. * Faster and irregular heart beat * Nausea * Heart attacks What is a heart attack? A heart attack occurs......

Teacher

...Every teacher in college is different; many have very different teaching habits. If every teacher was the same it would feel as if the students were being taught by robots; students would become very bored throughout the school day. When college students start school they are very nervous about how their teachers are going to act. College teachers can be broken up into three groups: positive, negative, and neutral teachers. The positive teachers are by far the minority of the three groups of teachers. Positive teachers are the most agreeable teachers. A positive teacher is one who seems interested in his or her subject and his or her students. The first thing a positive teacher does is try to learn all of the student’s names. This kind of teacher allows for questions and discussions in class and does not seem to mind if a student disagrees with him or her. A positive teacher shows his or her interest out of class as well. Not only is he or she available for conferences, but he or she encourages students to see him or her if they need help. The students tend to feel comfortable in the presence of this teacher. A good example of a positive teacher is one that always allows time during the class hour for some class discussion. Positive teachers, during conferences with students are always very polite and make as much of an effort as possible to make sure the student understands. The teacher will often show examples to help the student. The professor will go into deeper detail of...

...The article I chose was “Teachers Carrying Guns: Debate Follows Sandy Hook Shooting”. In the article the author states that one of the teacher find it absurd that any one would want teacher to have guns in school. He argues that carrying guns in school goes against the main reason he became a teacher. He states that a focus on guns ignores other factors in school violence, such as mental health screening and counseling (huffingtonpost.com). He also stats that the school preaches no violence and to have teacher carry fire arm this will send the wrong message. I will have to is agree with the author because I believe that if teachers did carry guns then this will cut down on the amount of school shooting that have been happening. My reason for this is because if the shooter was aware that every teacher in that school had a gun then he will think twice about going into the school and shoot. Most of the time when criminal commit crimes against people who are not able to defend themselves. They’re very few crimes that are committed against some one with the same type of weapon. I think this will give the shooter a second though because most of these people always commit suicide but if he was to be shoot before he got the chance to hurt some one then they will not do the crime because most of these criminal want to kill whomever they are after then kill themselves. Some of the points that the author made are valid reasons but I also believe that this will teach the kids...

...Chad Segersten EDA-551 Supervision and Instructional Leadership 12 June 2013 Classroom Visitation The main purpose of the observation and visitation was to examine the teaching styles of a novice and veteran teacher. One of the main differences I was familiar with was the distinct age difference. Going into the visitations I was curious as to if the age difference would show through their teaching styles. Both settings were in a 5th grade classroom and within the same elementary school. The first visitation took me to an “older” style of classroom. This veteran teacher was very stern and was very set in procedures throughout the day. I noticed the classroom schedule was displayed in very large text and was located in an area that was very noticeable. The teacher presented a short ten to fifteen minute lessons in math. After she presented the lesson, students asked clarifying questions and then were set to work on a worksheet with partners. The teacher did not move throughout the room for assistance, but she did offer the chance for students to come to her for assistance. Examining the younger, novice teacher, I noted a completely different classroom environment. As I walked in, I noticed I was observing partway through the lesson. Students and teacher were both involved in classroom discussion. Students were working to formulate their own understanding and formula for solving for the area of a square. The best and most interesting aspect to my visitation was......

Heart

...There are many parts to a human heart. Each structure of the heart has a different function and a different location. The hearts size is the about the size of a human fist. It takes in deoxygenated blood through the veins and brings it to the lungs to get oxygenated and then pumps it into the various arteries. The heart is in a fluid filled cavity called the pericardial cavity. The walls and the lining of the heart are membranes which are called pericardium. Its function is to lubricate the heart and to prevent friction between the heart and the other organs of the human body. It has two layers, a visceral layer that covers the outside of the heart and a parietal layer that creates a sac on the outside of the pericardial cavity. The heart wall has three layers. The first outer layer is called the Epicardium. It is the thin layer that helps lubricate and protect the outside of the heart. The muscular middle layer of the heart is called the Myocardium. Its function is to pump the blood. The third layer that lines the inside of the heart is called the Endocardium. Its responsibility is to keep blood from sticking to the inside of the heart which could form blood clots. The heart has four chambers. Those chambers include the right atrium, the left atrium, the right ventricle, and the left ventricle. The atria are smaller, and the walls are less muscular and thinner. They are connected to the veins because they are the receiving chambers...

...Some teachers are helpful and understanding, others are overly demanding and mean. Some give you invaluable life lessons, and others do more harm than good. And yet, even the latter ones facilitate your learning process, albeit in their own convoluted way. Teachers are supposed to help us learn certain subjects, but they often do more than that. They give us an idea of what the real world would be like. Good teachers do that consciously, while bad teachers do that involuntarily. Teacher plays an important role in education of every student. There are many opinions about what are the qualities of a good teacher. Somebody think that it is knowledge of the subject, but there are those who claim that charisma is more important. Personally I think that personal qualities of the teacher are importantly than education. To begin with, teacher must to know how to draw students’ attention, and fun teachers can do it. Also, good teacher should be able to tell interesting stories about life that relate to the subject. It is difficult to understand information, if the teacher says without enthusiasm in a boring monotone voice. No doubt that nowadays teacher is not only a conductor of knowledge but a person who is responsible for the future of his or her students. That is why teacher must be reliable and responsible person. A good teacher is that teacher who is able to find an individual approach to each student it is very important try to find abilities in every child. In contrast,......

...altercation with a classmate. As the classroom teacher began intervention, FL began to verbally attack the teacher, and then began to threaten the safety of the teacher. This paper will discuss the breakdown of the handling of this situation, and the final result, the consequence, that the student, FL was given, and the rebuttal on the part of the parent. FL is a Special Education student in a regular education classroom. FL’s learning disability revolves around reading, and reading comprehension. FL has also been diagnosed as having ADHD by a neuropsychologist. Once a week an Instructional Aide goes into the classroom to work with FL in a one-on-one method on his assignments pertaining to reading, and reading to answer questions. This is done in the general education classroom, and at other times it is done in the vacant classroom. There is a current IEP on file and the regular education teacher is well aware of the goals and guidelines spelled out in the IEP. FL is also an English Language Learner (ELL), and he is on Probation for incidences that have occurred outside of school hours. The classroom teacher had just completed her lecture and question and answer on the U.S. History assignment. While she was circulating the room checking for understanding she heard a conversation between FL and another regular education student, (SB), also male. It was obvious they were not discussing the assignment, and more obvious that if the teacher did not curtail the conversation that......

...Teachers play an important role in students’ learning. According to Yinger, teacher quality has major impact on student learning. Cullingford said the teacher is one of the main provider of the ‘culture’ that enables the child to learn. Teacher can have a very subtle and profound effect on the pupil students’ by creating conditions for motivation. Children and teachers have an interdependent learning and teaching relationship. “Children are social actors and partners in learning and teaching. Teachers are predecessors, socializing agents, and creativity agents for children; they are key socialization agents after parents (Tan, 2004, p.74)”. Given the close relationship of teachers and students, it is shown that the quality and characteristics of teachers are essential to student’s learning. The view of teachers transmitting a ‘language’ to students gives rise to a teacher-centered classroom. The following problems arise: When students do not listen as he/she has negative attitudes, conflicting beliefs, low motivation, lack of self-confidence, low self-esteem, or high anxiety (language classes typically have high anxiety levels), a learner-centered classroom appears. Teaching method have to change in order to suit the changing word. Simply transmitting materials to students is not enough. The knowledge taught in school were not long-lasting and people forget them after years. Teaching method have to change in order to suit the changing word. Simply transmitting......

...Topic: How to make a paper heart Specific Purpose: To teach the audience the history and how to make paper hearts Thesis Statement: The audience will learn how to make a paper heart in less than 10 mins Introduction Attention Getter: So this might take you back to the good times and maybe show my age Transition: As a kid in middle school my friends and I would write notes back and forth to each other. And there came a point in time where either we got to sloppy with it or the teachers got really smart because they started seeing us and taking the notes and reading them to the whole class, and at this time most of our letters were who liked who . So of course nobody wanted that information to get out. So we came up with making paper hearts, and we would put them in the front of our folder so it looked like art and if the teachers seen us passing it around they would think we were just giving it to our friends to put inside their folder. Credibility: When I first started middle school I didn’t know that writing notes in class was such a big thing. I thought texting each other was a lot better but I see I was wrong not many phone companies had the unlimited plan till after 7pm. So unless you wanted to get in trouble by your parents later you were writing notes to each other in class. Thesis Statement: I’m going to tell you some of the history and then show you how to make a paper heart Preview: Tonight I will tell you what paper hearts can be used for and......

...looking at the students friends. The same goes for teachers, students can see all the teachers' friends profiles because the accepted the friend request. It’s an invasion of privacy for the students and the teachers. Facebooks is a site not only for people to share their feelings, people also get on there to snoop on their friends and feed off of the comments that cause conflicts. In that case, students could see the comments that their teachers post on Facebook. This could actually lead to an accidental sighting of their teachers feelings and/or secrets, and end up actually offending the student. There are problems, such as gossip, that can be leaked to the student in some cases. The teacher might post something about a troubled student; if the student has befriended the teacher, he/she could see the post. The teacher could get in a lot of trouble for talking about one of their students on social media. Some of the comments could lead to a bad impression as well. Same thing goes for the student as well. every day there are students that go to Facebook to talk about and start rumors about their teachers. For the teachers that are friends with the students could see what their students wrote on the net. It can be not only frustrating but it is embarrassing for the teacher to see that their student posted that on Facebook, which would probably lead to a bad impression on the students. The Heart

...Research Paper The human heart is a very vital, interesting, and complex organ. It continuously pumps blood through the body for the entire life. It’s made of muscle and is very strong and yet at the same time, can be very vulnerable to disease. The heart is a very important organ. What's so unusual about it is that it is that it never gets tired. There are four parts of the heart, right atrium, right ventricle, left atrium, and the left ventricle. Oxygen-poor blood flows from the body and to the right atrium. Blood flows through the right atrium and into the right ventricle. The right ventricle pumps blood to the lungs where the blood releases waste like carbon dioxide and picks up oxygen. The newly oxygen-rich blood returns to the heart and enters the left atrium. Then the blood flows through the left atrium and into the left ventricle. The left ventricle pumps the oxygen-rich blood to all parts of the body. The heart truly works in an amazing way by pumping blood through the circulatory system which is made up of blood vessels. Blood vessels are like bend-e straws except a stronger tube. Blood vessels carry blood to all the parts of the body. Blood carries fresh oxygen from the lungs and nutrients to the body’s tissues, it also takes the body’s waste products, including carbon dioxide away from the tissues. It’s necessary to sustain life and promote the health of all parts of the body. Arteries begin at the aorta, a large artery leaving the heart. Arteries carry......
