"Three types of friends’ women should have"
Women are more multifaceted than ever, having different responsibilities such as careers, a spouses, children and adult students. In order to maintain her sanity a woman should have an inner circle of different friends, Proverbs 18:24 says “ a man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother” a woman should be wise when selecting friends. Every woman should have a confidant, a motivator, and a spiritual friend as part of their support system.
First the confidant friend, most women love a good conversation and enjoy it even more when there is no restrictions. A trustworthy friend is the friend that a woman will be able to express herself freely with and know that her secrets will remain safe. Being loyal is being nonjudgmental, regardless of the situation it will be an unconditional friendship. Above all, the loyal friend is easy going, most times this friend is like Proverbs 31:25 “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come."
Next in order is the motivator who will see what a woman is capable of becoming. The motivator is successful in most areas of their life because they are able to push past limits. This friend is very positive they see everything that will go right as opposed to focusing on the negative. Particularly the motivator is essential because this friend will instill in a woman that discipline is the key to success. This friend is goal oriented, always focused on the results. The motivator is the friend that a woman would go to whenever she is stuck, stars a new project or feels like quitting.
Finally and of the upmost important is the spiritual friend, a devotee of the bible will guide a woman in the right direction. Above all, this friend maintains a strong relationship with God. The spiritual…...

...situation. The key however, is the type of music and its classification. The type of music can be determined by the singer, types of instruments used and of course the rhythm. The classifications for types of music are often not based on the set parameters, though there are definitions for individual styles of music. For example Jazz is the only style of music that is completely American and is often characterized by fast tempos, lots of brass instruments and what is considered off beat rhythms. Female Jazz vocalists like Ella Fitzgerald typically sing in a contralto or alto vocal range. When one desires to become a vocalist, he or she must first determine the range in which they qualify. When one desires to becomes a vocalist he or she must first determine the range in which they qualify. Vocalization has different types. It depends on the type of voice in which bass is the lowest range and is normally a male singing voice. Baritone is the middle range for males and tenor is generally the highest range for male singers. For females, contralto is normally the lowest and on some occasions can be similar to the highest male’s voice. Mezzo soprano is the second highest for female singers and soprano is the highest for the female voice. The voice can also be considered as an instrument in a band today Musical instruments have similar classifications and they are the string, wind and percussion. ...Television Is Affecting Children Negatively Larry Hering ENGL 101-B25 June 18, 2012 Gerald Spence Abstract Television and television advertising are effectively altering the way children think, act, and interact. Sedentary lifestyles are thought to be synonymous with watching too much television and childhood obesity has become a major issue in the United States. With all of the data and recommendations showing the negative affect television is causing, parents are in control of the issue right in their own homes. All that is needed is for them to assume responsibility. Television Is Affecting Children Negatively Over the last thirty years obesity has tripled in children ages 5 and up (Eaton, 2010). It is an epidemic that needs to be addressed in order to regain health among the nation’s children. While there is clearly more than one factor, technology has to take a major part of the blame along with parents. Children are spending too much time watching television and using systems such as Play Station and X-box. Computers are another source that takes away from activity Sedentary lifestyles are taking the place of wholesome activity-based play. Notice this child is sitting approximately three feet from the television and still uses a remote (see his left hand). His only activity appears to be eating potato chips and drinking soda. This image could be from any home in the country as sedentary lifestyles have become common. -based fun. Sedentary......

...Kien Nguyen Essay #2 07/31/2013 ENGL 100F/ 18:30-21:50/ M-T Chris Andrews An Emoticons Era Nowadays, with the non-stop developments of socioeconomics, it is an undeniable truth that technologies and social networks are playing a vital role in our daily life. We have come to the new era of communication when people can contact each other everywhere, at every moment. Thus, technologies are now the dominant factor in our communication today, since we have such an exceptional access to information and people. Truly, geographic limitation is now destroyed in terms of communication. However, we are becoming more ignorant about how these technologies are affecting our life every day. We are abusing these communicating methods without acknowledging that our life and our own personalities are being spoiled. As a consequence, these technologies are bringing the lacks of social interaction, distraction, and the decayed expression of languages and emotions. The rise of technologies is leading to the collapse of our communication. Technologies are ruining social interaction among humans. Without a doubt, technologies have dominated our choices of interacting with each other. While the purpose of technologies was to improve the communication between humans, people now prefer using these tools to talk, rather than face-to-face conversations. In fact, human civilization has been always developed based on the connection between people, but now, we are losing that real connection in......

...In a lifetime one will meet all different kind of people some will be foolish, mean, trustworthy, deceitful, generous, etc….Different types of characters is something that is reinforced in children’s stories. In Tales of Wonder from Many Lands, there are several different characters some were foolish, generous, abused, etc…. How can one classify the different characters in Tales of Wonder from Many Lands. One can classify the different characters according to how good or bad they treat others. Three different types of characters are brave and are willing to sacrifice themselves, abusers who treat other as slaves and victims of violence. The first group of characters I would like to identify are the victims of abuse. Most of which were females whom were victimized as a result of jealousy from step mother and or foolish fathers. At times a step parent may feel the need to shut the child that doesn’t biologically belong to them out of their lives and often mistreat them or belittle them. No matter how ridiculous or difficult the task they were given they never complained and always had faith that life will eventually get better. For instance in Cinderella the stepmother was determined keep Cinderella as slave by forcing her to do all house chores, intentionally throwing peas in piles of ashes and ordering her to hand pick the peas and return the peas to the stepmother, not allowing her to eat with the family and keeping her away from all social events. Such as the...

Classification

...Classification has always been the main source of the simplifying all of the information that has been found throughout the span of human thought. Science in its most basic from is nothing more than just a quest of knowledge “to seek what regularities there may be”(Sagan) and the existence of that knowledge is explained by classification(Foucault). Today’s society is dominated by an absurd amount of technologically powered apparatuses like: cell phones, computers, tablets, tables, cars, and the list ventures endlessly forward and like every “small step for a man, and one giant leap forward for mankind” there are repercussions(The Space Race). One of the things that changed with the evolution of technology from its primitive state to its more modern version is news; once only told by an unbiased, or at least strived to be, newscasters like Walter Cronkite(Cronkite) and people were forced to watch the whole thing until what they were really interested in came on has now turned into an extremely selective and biased way of reporting the news with outstandingly big downsides that has lead society to be harshly less informed about what is going on around them and more susceptible to having their opinion swayed with possible misclassification of news. By the end of 2010 more people claimed to be receiving their news intake from the internet than from newspapers(Featured in Social Media) and with the simplified access to......

Essay on Cars Classification

...Essay on Cars Classification Cars have been around for over a hundred years. The first universal car in America was created by Henry Ford in 1908. This car was called the model ‘T’ also known as the Tin Lizzy. After the first car was introduced, the evolution of cars had changed in size, shape, and price. The most drastic change has been in price. Today, consumers have the options of choosing a car that is inexpensive in price to very expensive. An inexpensive car’s price range is anywhere from $15,000 to $25,000. An inexpensive car would consist of a Hyundai, Kia, Saturn and Honda. Some of the features to an inexpensive car consist of the interior design such as the cloth seats. The cloth seats in a car are made to provide temporary comfort for the driver to get from point A to point B. The stereo in an expensive car is considered to be a low end product. The engines however, in a Hyundai, Kia, Saturn and Honda are considered to be very reliable. Today, manufacturers make cars that offer a variety of engines. For example a consumer can have the option of choosing a car with a 1.0 to 24 horsepower engine. These types of engines are good commuter cars because even though they are very inexpensive, their engines are considered to be very reliable. ...ENGL 102 Fiction Essay Liberty University Online Micheal McIntosh Fiction Essay The first of the two stories I chose to compare and contrast is titled “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson and the second story is titled “The Rocking-Horse Winner” by D.H. Lawrence. I will compare each of their themes, characters, and plot developments in which they are both similar and different. One of the strongest comparison would be that both stories deal with the subject of luck in one sense or another. The Lottery being considered a game of chance in which luck plays an important factor in being the chosen winner but Luck in the Lottery has a different twist of fate because the winner of the Lottery is actually the loser and the chosen loser in the Lottery is actually stoned to death. In the Rocking-Horse Winner, luck is portrayed vacantly by a woman who was actually unlucky when it came to ordinary circumstances in life, an example of this would be the phrase that often echoed through the home, “There must be more money” and the woman’s statement that she wasn’t lucky because she had married an unlucky husband. Further on in the story luck shifts into a different mode towards the male child of the woman in regards to his Rocking Horse being an actual winner in a Horse Race. Luck in the Lottery has a twist of fate though because the winner of the Lottery was actually the loser and the one that was chosen in the Lottery was actually stoned to death. There...

Classification Essay Drivers

...Classification Essay-DRIVERS In my experience, there are three kinds of drivers in this world, The Erratic Driver, the Over Cautious Driver, and the Alert Driver. There is the Erratic Driver, this type of driver can seem to be fairly unpredictable on the road, with their tailgating and speeding, this person is the most hazardous to themselves and other travelers. Then there is the Over Cautious Driver, who is just as easy to spot as the Erratic Driver. They are normally going under the speed limit or close to it, this type of driver will slow up traffic, and in highly congested areas, they can be a hazard on the road from hesitating and not flowing well with the traffic. Finally, there is the Alert Driver, this type of driving style consists of paying attention to the surroundings, such as weather, potholes, and other traffic. The Erratic Driver: Has a tendency of pissing off other drivers, with their erratic and unpredictable actions. They can be 100 yards behind you one second, and the next second they're so close that you can't read their license plate. They seem to always be in a hurry, whether they actually are in a hurry or not doesn't matter, the erratic driver is not a safe driver. Here's a tip from a recovering lead foot, you can't control other drivers, so pull your foot off the pedal, you can only affect your share of the road. Driving the speed limits will save you fines, and insurance hikes, and it will help you go with the flow of traffic. The Over Cautious......

Top 100 Essay

...Top 100 Essay Upon examining the world, one will find many great people who have shaped the one we live in today. Despite the significance of them all, it is important to be able to narrow them down to a list of one hundred or so. From there, the true test is to be able to tell which person had a bigger effect on our state of being than the other. Starting with a list that has already been compiled, this essay will rank each historical figure by their impact on the world. (Please note that this list was compiled based on a western perspective.) Topping the list at #1 is Muhammad. As the Prophet of Islam, Muhammads, s.a.w, teachings have reached and inspired many societies and their people. His teachings also indicate the best way to think and therefore live. At #2 is Jesus Christ, whose place as the central figure of Christianity has impacted the lives of his believers, all 2 billion of them (give or take). His existence has lead to the many holidays and churches that occupy mainly, western society. At #3 is Gautama Buddha, who is the spiritual teacher and founder of Buddhism. Lord Buddha has played a large role in the growth of many people of asian descent and offers a religion to the world that can be seen as very peaceful. At #4 is David, King of Israel or rather the Biblical King of Israel. As the founder of Jerusalem, he has empowered the Jewish nation to take on a large amount of influence in various aspects of the world, including the entertainment industry. At #5......

...Morgan Johnson 1/11/16 Block 4 Green Classification Essay The Category Game As a miserable employee of the Panera Bread Restaurant/Café/Bakery, I confess that I have spent the most of my shifts during the past 2 years categorizing any and all customers I come in contact with. This childish game I play in my own head, and sometimes with my co-workers, can last anywhere from 4 to 10 hours. Every person that walks through Panera’s streaky glass doors on a mission to feed themselves the most overpriced and overhyped food, fall victim to this game. Nine times out of ten I am the first employee an incoming customer sees. Nine times out of ten I am the first employee to observe a customer’s behavior, prepare myself to act as fake as the ingredients in processed foods, and provide the customer service that I am required to do as specified in my job description. There are several factors that play into where a customer lies on the “enjoyable” to “ready to march my-underpaid-self straight out the front doors” scale, and I within a 60 second interaction with a person, I can put them exactly where they belong. Like most food based businesses, we have our regular customers that come in anywhere from 1 to 15 times per week to get their favorite drink, snack, meal, or bakery item. I can proudly say I adore approximately 80% of them. I have multiple “family members” that aren’t necessarily blood related to me. ...Elizabeth Ramos ENGL 1301 Teresa Trevathan Dec. 12, 2014 Television’s Best Moments Television has provided many moments where audiences held their breaths, cheered out loud, got up and danced, or sat there and cried. From the appearance of Elvis on the Ed Sullivan Show to the question of “Who shot J.R.?” on Dallas, we have been riveted to the set, watching avidly and discussing what we had seen with others. One series, M*A*S*H, provided one of TV’s best moments with its final episode, titled “Goodbye, Farewell and Amen.” Though this particular episode featured many great moments, the best one would be when Hawkeye Pierce was talking to Dr. Sidney Freedman in a mental hospital. The doctor was trying to discover why Pierce had a mental breakdown, while Pierce was having difficulty in remembering what had happened. Pierce finally recalls that the bus he and others were riding had to pull over to the side of the road to hide from an enemy patrol. Hawkeye yells at a woman to keep her chicken from squawking, fearful that the enemy would find them, only to be stunned when the woman smothers her chicken while trying to keep it quiet. The audience is just as horrified as Hawkeye when he realizes the woman didn’t smother a chicken; she smothered her infant child. This finale episode aired in 1983, and it remained the most watched episode in the history of television until 2010. When looking at modern day programming, the AMC original show Breaking Bad has provided moments on...
