Q) How does your family contribute to the pollution of the environment?? Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that cause adverse change.[1] Pollution can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat or light. Pollutants, the components of pollution, can be either foreign substances/energies or naturally occurring contaminants. Pollution is often classed as point source or nonpoint source pollution. Pollution comes from both natural and human-made (anthropogenic) sources. However, globally human-made pollutants from combustion, construction, mining, agriculture and warfare are increasingly significant in the air pollution equation. Individuals cause pollution in their own ways. Like we every drop count, every individual has their contribution into the environmental pollution. Burning of plastics, deforestation, contamination of soil by dumping of waste even in households contribute to pollution. Smoking also causes air pollution, contaminating water sources , paving house frontage with tiles etc are the common errors which happen in the household. Frying chicken at the stove, spraying ants with insecticide, taking a hot shower, plugging in a room freshener, or sudsing the rug with detergent also causes pollution.
Many common items found around our homes can reduce our air quality. While some sources, like oven cleaner, are obvious, others aren't.
Cleaners, disinfectants and detergents including drain cleaners, anti-mould preparations and window cleaners air fresheners many cosmetics including hair dyes, hair spray, nail polish, perfumes and aftershaves, deodorants and antiperspirants fly spray and other pesticides glue/adhesivespaints, stains, waxes, polishes and varnish cigarettes causes pollution. Did Cantina Make the Correct Decision in Regarding Burritos as a New Product Concept for the Australian Market Place? What Could Cantina Have Done Differently to Expand Its Market? Justify Your Answers.

...Did Cantina make the correct decision in regarding burritos as a new product concept for the Australian market place? What could Cantina have done differently to expand its market? Justify your answers. Cantina Burritos’ is a new introduced product in the Australian marketplace that launched its range of frozen burritos. Cantina has evidently made the correct decision in regarding burritos as a new product concept as it had a competitive advantage that ultimately transformed it into a new and exciting concept. This was done through the new development process such as idea generation and product development through extensive taste testing, to build a consumer base (Armstrong et al. 2010). However in justification to the correct decision, Cantina Burritos also could of done other things differently to help expand its market in the long run such as strategies involving the expansion of the product that would ultimately impact on the future strategy of its market. Cantina’s new product development process started with the assumption that frozen Mexican food was non-existent in Australia, therefore there was an instant opening in the new product category (Armstrong et al. 2010). Frozen and easily prepared foods complimented with the pies, pasties and sausage rolls market (Armstrong et al. 2010). Cantina therefore wanted to ensure that people related to and indentified with the product, and ensured it met various tastes and diets in order to prove the need for the new......

Discuss How the Marketing Mix Strategies Are Likely to Change over Burritos’ Product Lifecycle.

...Discuss how the marketing mix strategies are likely to change over burritos’ product lifecycle. Marketing mix strategies are likely to change over burritos’ life cycle as they influence the product’s succession. With reference to Cantinas frozen burritos’, marketing mix strategies help evolve the product’s lifecycle towards the target market. The four marketing mix strategies include product, place, prime and promotion used in each stage of the product lifecycle (Armstrong et al. 2010). A new product progresses through stages from the introduction, growth, maturity, and decline in a sequence known as the product life cycle that is likely to change over the burritos’ time (QuickMBA 2009). As the burritos’ product hits the market as a new product development, it enters the introduction stage of the product lifecycle. Marketing mix strategies at this stage is extensively attracted to the promotion, as the frozen burritos’ is a new and unique product in the Australian marketplace. Profits are heavily spent on the promotion, which means high competitive prices of the product are through advertisement. Promotion at this stage targeted towards a small market segment, which is catered towards 15 – 30 year olds looking for alternative foods. (Armstrong et al. 2010). Extensive marketing testing was placed to build product awareness and to educate potential consumers about the product being introduced. This ultimately ensured its place in the lifecycle process with its slow......

Examples of Exemplary Leadership

...offering affordable prices to customers. Taco Bell for example, which is a unit of Yum Brands, recently introduced a new line on the menu called Cantina Bell backed by Celebrity Chef Lorena Garcia. Ms. Garcia is an established renowned chef that partnered with Taco Bell to spice up the menu with new and creative recipes. Taco Bell used Chef Lorena Garcia’s image to boost customer confidence and as result, became Chipotle’s main rival due to their similarity. Since the implementation, Yum brand has generated a 6% increase in store sales. Taco Bell’s efficiency in creating faster but healthier meal alternatives is also linked to the theory behind Productive Paranoia. Leaders who are Productive Paranoids are constantly preparing for the uncertainty. These leaders regularly prepare for obstacles which could potentially harm or hinder growth. The company focused on how Chipotle and Panera Bread were able to maintain sales during the economic downturn. As a result, Yum Brands Inc. used comparable ideas from Chipotle on the new menu to bring in fast casual customers, which became a lucrative decision. Taco Bell was able to branch out from the clichéd fast food chains and joined the competitive market of fast casual dining. Coincidentally, the change had a positive turnout during the hours of lunch specifically with women revealing that the Cantina Bell line had an impact on the decision making of the new consumer base. ...opinion CMG needs to reevaluate their marketing strategies. Since they are product oriented, which means they are focusing more on quality of food rather than price oriented. They need to reach out to the consumers, and they need to educate their consumers why their prices are higher than their competitors. As a decision maker of CMG Steven Ells mention that their competitor Taco bell may provide cantina bowl for cheaper price but how can they have grilled chicken when Taco bell doesn’t even have a grill in their restaurant. Since CMG focus on healthier food, their food cost are going to be higher. I feel that customers are willing to pay more if they know food they are consuming is fresh, healthy and without any growth hormones. Even though CMG wants their consumer to come back because of the experience and apply the word-of They need to show why CMG food is better than their competitor; they need to send the message of their core policy of “Food with Integrity”. Losing frequent customers because of price and convenience is the main threats to CMG. CMG’s main competitor is Taco Bell's Cantina Bell menu that offers the similar type of Mexican food CMG does at a lower cost. Taco Bell has more than 5,000 restaurants in the United States (27% company owned) and it is considered quick service segment restaurant, whereas CMG has about a tenth of this number (all CMG restaurants are company owned). ...materials and energy systems for CMG restaurants. Currently, the first objective for the firm is to sustain financial performance and competitiveness in light of future cuts in consumer spending and heightened competition, which threatens to take frequent customers away from Chipotle. At the same time, CMG annual report showed slowdown of the same-store sales, which in its turn put downward pressure on Chipotle stock price. Another threat is expected increase in food costs, and hence CMG plan to rise its menu price to make up for this. While trying to reach all other objectives the company aims to stay dedicated to sustainable and environmentally consciousness way of doing business. Chipotle’s target market is similar of its competitor “Cantina Bell” which consist of mostly males older than 24 years and less-value conscious than “Taco Bell” customers. Furthermore, GMC customers are environmentally consciousness, but valuing Chipotle convenience of getting their orders fast without experiencing “fast food” service.
