Part two of the Ballard Integrated Managed Services, Inc. (BIMS) assignment discusses the integration of a better way to retrieved vital results from employees. A company survey has been the primary means to the way BIMS has collected information about employees. The first survey BIMS conducted was not successful so a second survey was conducted. There has been omissions and additions to the company survey to get the best results possible.
BIMS decided to go back to the drawing board after the results from the first survey came out. There were some minor mistakes that occurred with the first survey. Data was logged inaccurately from the results of the employees who took the first survey. The first survey was also considered unreliable, because of the lack of survey inputs from BIMS employees. Some of the employees who took the first survey did not answer all of the questions provided. The second survey was constructed differently and more efficiently to get better results from the employees. New questions have been added to the survey to gain important information about the employees. The new survey changed the wording of some questions because BIMS believed that the old questions were not worded in an understanding manner. Senior management help give recommendations on how the new survey was created. Questions were also added to the new survey to gain important information from the employees. The new survey was designed to get honest feedback from current employees and employees getting ready to leave BIMS. The new survey also helps BIMS determine if employees are committed to staying with the company or thinking about leaving the company. BIMS realized that paychecks were not the only way employees should be informed about taking the survey. BIMS wanted to give a better description of why the survey was important to the company. BIMS also wanted to ensure the employees their responses would not endanger their jobs.

Unit 2 Part 1

...Unit 2 Part 1 Shamica Jones Kaplan University Business Law September 1, 2013 The factors that indicate whether Davis owed Esposito a duty of care, so as to avoid allegations of negligence consist of three basic elements. “They are: 1. The likelihood that Davis’ conduct will injure others, taken with 2. The seriousness of the injury, if it happens, 3. Balanced against the cost of the precaution he must take to avoid the risk of negligence. . If the product of the likelihood of the injury exceeds the burden of the precautions, the risk is unreasonable and the failure to take precautions is negligence.” The Louisiana law that set precedents over trip-and-fall cases was Frelow v. St. Paul Fire & Marine Ins. The ruling in this case was that Louisiana law recognizes a legal duty on the part of employees to exercise reasonable care not to obstruct the flow of pedestrian traffic. Esposito was walking out of an exit of an arts and crafts show when Davis, an employee of the show’s producer decided suddenly to turn, without warning, and knock Esposito to the ground. One witness account said, “It appeared as if Davis had forgotten something because he snapped his fingers while quickly turning”. Davis admitted that he did not look when he turned. These factors indicate that Davis was negligent. It was the show’s producers’ responsibility to make sure that precautions were taken to avoid risk on the property. Esposito had to prove that Davis...

Many studies have been executed to assess practice and procedures that will improve patient satisfaction and patient safety. Nursing leadership and bedside nursing staff play a pivotal role in transforming bedside nursing. A critical appraisal was conducted in Australia by Gardner, Woollett, Daly, & Richardson, (2009) on measuring the effect of patient comfort rounds on practice environment and patient satisfaction: a pilot study. This research aimed to test the effect of a model of practice that enhanced the role of the assistant-in-nursing (AIN) on a skill mixed unit (Gardner et al, 2009). Research Critique Part 2

...Research Critique, Part 2 INTRODUCTION Approximately 20 million low birth weight (LBW) infants (infants weighing < 2,500 gm) are born each year (Samra, Taweel, & Cadwell, 2013). According to the World Health Organization (WHO), LBW infants are "more likely to die early, and those who survive may suffer illness, stunted growth or even problems into adult life" (WHO, 2015). Nyqvist et al. (2010) states kangaroo mother care (KMC) started in Colombia in the 1970s (as cited in Samra, et al., 2013, p. 194). "The hallmark of KMC is the kangaroo position: the infant is cared for skin-to-skin (ventral surface of the mother to ventral surface of the baby) vertically between the mother's breasts and under her clothes, 24 hr per day, with the father/substitute(s) participating as relief KMC providers" (Samra et al., 2013, p. 194). Care of the LBW infants has an increased cost since most end up in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The effect of intermittent (KMC) on the weight gain of LBW infants was the main point of this study (Samra, et al, 2013). Because of the increased cost associated with taking care of the LBW infant, if studies can show that intermittent KMC could decrease the length of time the infant stays in the NICU, then this practice would be beneficial to both the family and the health care facility. Topics to be discussed in this paper include 1) protection of human participants, 2) data collection, 3) data management and analysis, and 4)......

...Amanda Raby 5/18/16 “Logic and Set Theory” Part # 1 The intersection gives only what the two sets have in common. The union of two sets is the set of elements which are in either set. The intersection of two sets is the set of elements which is in both sets. Make sense right? At times there will not be any intersection at all, this would be called an empty or null set. The intersection gives you only what the two sets have in common whereas the union combines the sets. With the union we can retrieve records from both database sets, being able to access all of each set of records but when using the intersection of the database sets you can only access the records that meet both conditions. Some examples may include the following (Something I can think of): After doing some reading I figure that most everyday things we encounter is ran through a database. When you access a database, often you want to recover only records with certain features. The records with these features can be treated as a set.
